Sending .zip file (download)

If you have a product (ebook) and have some bonuses like other peoples squeeze pages to be promoted...how does that .zip file get sent to sign ups / buyers of a product?

Does your autoresponder send them the .zip file?

Or...If you have a link on a download page for the .zip file, how do you make that download page with a .zip link in it? Do you use it like a hyperlink?

You have to host the .zip somewhere. If it's small you can host it on your own site. If it's larger you can use a service like Amazon S3. Once you upload it to your hosting it will have a unique URL. Place that link in your email or thank you page.

You can send attachments, like a zip file with an email. Deliverability depends on the size in MB of your file, what your A/R service allows and what is allowed by you customers email providers.

You can make a page on your site and put a link on it to the zip file. In order to do that you have to upload the file with an ftp program , your cpanel file manager or your Wordpress media manager. Again, whcih you can use depends on the size of your file.

Anything you upload to the internet has a URL which tells browsers where that file is located. So your zip file would have a URL (for instance) of
    mycooldomain.com/somefolder/greatzipfile.zip

Then you use that URL just like you would the URL for a page on the internet and put it on your download page. So when people clicked on the link on your page the file would download.

It sounds lengthy writing it down, but its simple once you do it a couple of times.

Depending on how big your file is when you zip it, you might want to break the files inside it into groups to make uploading and downloading quicker. You also wnat to be sure to name you zip file something logical so that people can find it on their computers after they download. Don't leave any spaces in the name of your zipfile - some browsers can't handle blank spaces on internet files and the download will be corrupt.

Easier to run all the words together like greatzipfile.zip and avoid any issues with that. And keep all the letter in your title in one case, upper or lower, this part of the URL when you upload the file is case sensitive.
