Dear warriors,

I bought 40 articles from a ghostwriter, submitted to EzineArticles 3 articles every week, but now 2 articles are caught because it already published on the internet. sucks, huh?

is there any way to check articles that we have, whether it's original article or not before we submit to EA? currently I'm stop submitting my articles because I want to make sure that next articles submitted are original. I don't want EA suspend my account just because this stupid mistake made by a ghostwriter. please advice...

thanks,

Rob

      Here's just what I did :

      1. I created an html file for each article I have then uploaded under my domain
      2. copy the URL to copyscape.com
      3. and here's what I've found... some sentences (not words) of my articles really published on the internet. I don't know if it's plagiarism or not. but, can this match be used by EzineArticles as a reason to reject my articles?

Sure EZA might have rejected your articles because they didn't find your articles to be 100% original.
What many ghostwriters do, especially those who want to make a quick buck, is they simply take an article off some directory and rewrite it.

May be your writers have done that as well and in the process have forgotten to rephrase some sentences which the copyscape results detected.

Always, check your articles using copyscape to ensure that the directories don't reject them.

If you need any further help, I am just a PM away.
        Good luck!

        Regards,

        Jay B.

I use Copyscape. You can join the Premium member, this will ensure you to check each article you got from the ghostwriters.

This is a measly investment though, nothing to lose.

    Hi

Oh that's a nightmare. You should try DupeFree Pro heres the link DupeFree Pro - Avoid Duplicate Content and Online Content Plagiarism

I didn't use an activated link because there is a sales page but all you need is the standard free dupefree and you can check your articles for duplicate content.

    All the best

{edit} that's weird it turned into an active link, it's not an affiliate link though

    Hey,

You can try out www dot plagiarismdetect dot com. They allow free signups and will let you check for duplicate content in the web. It uses a kind of simple algoritham for free users, though it should be sufficient for article marketers.

This happens even if you write the article yourself.

I had this problem where they told me that an article of mine was a copy of another. Thw two articles were totally different and I replied to that effect. The original editor accepted that an error had been made and allowed the article to be resubmitted - unfortunately it was resubmitted to another editor who said it was a copy of another (different) article to which it was totally different.

I withdrew from EZA - if they have no guidelines for editors and editors feel free to make unjustified accusations, there is something very wrong.

      Hi,

I had the same thing happen to me.

If EZA insist your original article is a copy, would it not be a good idea for them to show you the article that you're 'copying'?

My wife is a Platinum Author over at ezinearticles.
I and i hope google and ezine articles that we always
put the article on our site first...we are the original
author and get the most google juice.
As long as the article ties into the website that is being
submitted to ezine they have no problems.

Only if it anywhere else but the original authors site that shows
up in the resource box...the 2 have to match..

Ezinearticles.com have become really hard. much easier for my wife.

I think they are giving you the google slap sometimes...judge,jury and executioner.
Also we submit to the website first, ezinearticles second...since they think their god, than after they approve it, submit to the other sites. when you are #211 site on the internet they can do this

wow, I don't know that EzineArticles can be wrong. I thought my ghostwriter is the problem. EA did send me the link where -they think- my articles published. but I didn't see any sentences or even a paragraph that same with mine. I will try to contact EzineArticles, because my ghostwriter swore that she didn't do it. thanks, guys...!

I've had this happen at least twice and maybe three times and they were also articles that I wrote myself.

Sometimes I really believe that EZA has gotten a bit full of themselves due to their immense popularity.

But I still use them. After all, it's not like the editor was purposely out to get me or anything. And even if he is, it's not really "personal" since he doesn't know me. Everyone has a bad day now and then and every one makes mistakes.

EZA has made me a lot of money over the past few years and I'm sure I've made them a nice chunk of change as well. I'm not going to go and break up a profitable relationship over 2 or 3 isolated incidents.

Oh that would be bad if you paid for unique articles and it is already out there somewhere. You didn't have the article published on any other directory or your own blog? Although that usually isn't a problem I've found as long as it is me that has published it elsewhere Ezine with still accept it.

The only time I had one rejected for being published elsewhere was when someone copied my article word for word from another directory and then submitted it to the same directory. I had that removed and the person banned and Ezine then accepted it when they knew it was my article.

    Hi Rob,

I will personally highlight any of the sentences on the article and check it with Google to make sure that there is no other articles that contains the same sentences.

I will check at least 2 random sentences with Google. You will want to put the " " in between the sentences.

This simple method works for me and I hope you find it useful

    Hi

As Jay B says, you can always rewrite the Article. But it will probably be better to add your own unique content to give the Article some extra value.

Because there is so much competition with article writers and pricing, article writers themselves are thinking of working smarter at those cheap prices, so you should expect some funny stunts if you go dirt cheap. Even if you fire your guy, there's no guarantee that you will get a better one... I imagine your looking for the cheapest option.

Check the written articles each time you get them, it is the least you could do before submitting them or even accepting them, it's in your interest to have quality articles that people enjoy to read and are accurate. No one should ever leave their business in the hands of faith.

You may find that you have to rewrite a couple of them, that's fine, at least you got past the writers block with the article you have, and it's a base for you to improve on

    cheers all

you should take some sentences from an article one by one and check on Google by putting " " in between the sentence. Because this is the simple way to check that other article contain it or not.

      I second that...

Articles are supposed to be useful and news worthy, these days it's all about volume at all cost - hire the cheapest writer, don't care if he has any knowledge about the topics, put a few words together, spin re-spin and blow it out with mass submitters.

      Unique doesn't mean 30%, 50% or 90%.

This is why I totally 100% disagree with people who say put your articles
on YOUR site first and then submit to EZA.

You get an editor who is new, finds the article on your site, doesn't know it's
YOUR site because they can't be bothered to look to see that the name is
the same or it's the same domain as in your resource box and they reject it
        because it's somewhere else first.

I always submit to EZA FIRST and THEN I put on my blog or submit to
wherever else I want to submit to.

Again, this is just my opinion but so far I have yet to have an article
rejected because it appeared somewhere else first.

It's not as good as copyscape, but I usually skim through the article to find a fairly unique sentence or phrase.

then I just copy that sentence and do a Google search on it, in quotations.

If it's out there, Google will find it.

I'll just throw this out - run an ad on Craigslist or just put up some
flyers on bulletin boards saying you need some article writers.

You'll have people coming out of the woodwork wanting to make
a few bucks doing something they like to do and many are good
    at.

You'll speak the same language. They'll be in your community.
You'll be employing local people and helping your local economy-
and you'll be building a bridge of trust that will go a long way
    towards getting you good-quality content.

Treat people nice and they'll usually do the same for you... but
as long as you keep your relationship with your outsourcers
clinical and impersonal and remote you'll never get the warmth
of human connection working for you.

    Something to think about.

I make agreements with my ghostwriters that the article comes back to them if EZA rejects them... sure that's "playing with fire" but it has worked great so far.
