Best Free/Paid Tool for popular Blog Topic Research by Niche

No, this is not about that fickle strategy known as Trend Blogging, We are honestly trying to help the most people possible with our blog posts and looking for the best free and paid tools to identify the most popular questions asked in a given niche.

For example, if we want to post on http://www.ToledoBW.org where should we go to input a keyword phrase like "crime prevention" to see what questions the most people are asking/sharing about car theft, home invasion, etc?

We've tried AllTop.com, WhosTalkin.com and many others but have not had much luck sourcing questions asked or shared by the most people when searching in a specific niche so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but it might help.

      Google Trends

If you haven't, maybe you could start with this and that might lead you to some interesting ideas you could blog about.

The kind of categorization you are looking for relies on billions of inputs and there are only a couple of companies who can handle that on any kind of a real time basis.

Google Trends is a good starting point, along with Google Insight, but not quite the questions we'r looking for. However, we completely understand that quality research does cost money. Would any of these companies offer B2C services for a reasonable cost?

Found Buzzsumo a couple months ago but don't see a way to filter for only questions that need to be answered. Definitely a great tool for content ideas though and many thanks for sharing.

I don't really understand your question. Try Google Trends, BuzzSumo, Yahoo Answers, or Quia.
