Can You Still Make Money Through Yahoo Answers??

Alright Warriors

I have just come across a report that explains if I want to make money online via clickbank.. I can use Yahoo Answers to do so..

I have looked at Yahoo Answer in the past and didnt think it was worth it.. Most of the questions that I found were closed or already answered...

So my question to you: is can you still advertise your clickbank affiliate links through yahoo answer and still make money?

The report says that I need to answer every day to get it to work.. Is this so??

You can still make money with Yahoo Answers but why limit yourself by just using clickbank?

Some CPA offers are probably better targeted towards Yahoo Answers and if you want to be "dirty" you can pretend to be a girl as an affiliate of adult sites.

      Hi, Sam -

If you were to link you your CPA offer, would you use tinyurl or what ? I don't think Yahoo Answers allows you to put in the link directly to the offer. Am I wrong? Whats the best way to link to the CPA offer?

Btw, I got your ebook you referenced above. Good work!

You can't post affiliate links of any kind in Yahoo Answers. Even if you're slick and use tinyurl or another kind of redirect, its pretty obvious and you'll get banned quickly.

What you can do is link to a blog post or article that is relevant to the question asked and include an aff link on that page.

Yea they will. You can get away with it a couple of times but they will catch on suspend your account.

Yahoo Answers is like any other form of marketing...the biggest key is to be a responsible and helpful member of the community.

Doesn't it drive you crazy when spammers come to the Warrior forum and drop a bunch of one-liners just to get their link seen? Well the YA community is no different.

I reply to about five questions at once and get great results from that. Many will be talking about things like i need a second job do you suggest homeworking clubs then you go in with the internet marketing type answers.

Others are planning on having blogs for pleasure but dont know how to do it so i will give them info of my free tutorial in the resource box plus my hostgator affiliate link.

There are that many different questions if you wanted to build your customers for a specific niche it would be perfect.

    kind regards

    Hi bryon

i totally forgot to mention my husband who is in the biz with me has just opened an account with them to promote his new items in the food niche and he has absolutely loads of customers joining his mailing list.

say if someone asked him how to cook a white sauce he would include details of his website with optin and it would seriously add to the numbers on his list.

Its like on here if you spam people will report you but if you are sincere with your answers you will get a lot of fans from it.

Please keep in mind that when you post answers on Yahoo Answers! that your links in your source section needs to have some relevancy to your answer. Obviously, you don't want to be spamming links.

Also, take the time and try to post answers that are informative and better than everyone else's answers because you want your answers to be voted as the "best answer"....My stats have shown that my "best answers" get significantly more traffic than the regular answers. So it's definitely worth going the extra mile in your answers.

I have been using Yahoo answers for around a month now. To get from level 1 to level 2, and to allow me to include a live link in my answers, I was initially answering as many questions per day as I could.

Once I reached level 2 I began to search for and answer only questions specific to my niche. There are only a handful of such questions per day, and I answer as many of these as I can.

It is a lot of work for the amount of clicks I get back to my Squidoo lens, which is promoting a ClickBank affiliate product.

Perhaps if I was targeting a larger niche which had more questions to answer it may be worth my while, but with the size of my niche it is not really worth it.

I get far more traffic using article marketing.

No - in fact I have never used Yahoo Answers before either.

That's what I like abut this forum - there is always something new to learn about IM traffic strategies.

I actually think that Yahoo Answers is excellent because the traffic is so targeted, and from people actually asking questions they need answers.

I see this is a hugely valuable potential strategy.

      Just found this article:

      Question and Answers Sites

      Quote:

The most-visited website in the Questions and Answers category last week was Yahoo Answers (answers.yahoo.com), which received 74.05 percent of the market share of US visits.

Wiki.Answers.com was second, receiving 18.35 percent of visits, followed by Answerbag.com, which received 4.42 percent of visits.

WikiAnswers, launched in June 2007, increased its US visits 125 percent from the week ended June 9, 2007 to March 15, 2008.

"Online users are increasingly seeking advice from question-and-answer websites that leverage shared knowledge contributed across a community of experts and enthusiasts," said Heather Dougherty, research director, Hitwise.

    Hi adrian

even though the main part of yahoo answers is for answering questions for creating income many also use it for finding niches and checking what are the most asked questions and turning it into sources of their articles its like a quick and easy research tool.

i use it for traffic to my blog mainly sending them there after answering their question. I always answer it best i can that way i am more likely to get extra exposure via the best answer section.

    kind regards

      Thanks Sam.

I think Yahoo Answers has huge potential.

But like all services it must be used correctly. I intend to use it for list building primarily, but, as a published author and person who spends 75% of my time helping others for free anyway, Yahoo Answers holds great potential, and the fact that I am helping others at the same time makes it all the better.

I downloaded your Yahoo Answers report BTW - great work.

Like I said before, and do not mind admitting, I have been heavily involved in IM for 12 years, and always enjoy finding new strategies like this - even though it has been sitting right under my nose

Glad I dropped by today. I'm a level 4 on Yahoo Answers and never considered using it to build my list...Duh! Guess I've been hesitant to use my own links because it's really easy to get reported as abusing the system. I've 'hit' a couple posts myself in the past year for spamming.

Guess it's time to take a closer look since I do give useful information.

There are still people make money in using Yahoo answers. Like they find some questions that are related to their product and they answer it and put a link to their answer. I have seen so many of that in Yahoo answers.

Think of it like this - after you have completed an answer and it has been voted best it will get a prime position on their site so it is like having your own banner ad on a top position on a top site for free.

I mean how many of us use the wf to get traffic back from our sig just by helping others its the exact same thing.

thanks for your comments and they make sense.

Would you link yahoo to your website or blog?

Also if you drop your link on "all" answers you provide could you run the risk of your account being closed for spamming?

Thanks again if you can help out.

I use Yahoo answers and have made some money from answering questions. I really try to provide helpful information then drop my link into the resource box. I never put it in the answer itself.

Also, I try to mix it up a bit and not drop a link on every answer. I'm not sure if that is the best idea for my pockets .

I like to use Yahoo Answers to drive traffic to my new blog posts that I create as well. If you do it correctly you can see some targeted traffic fairly quickly.

I'm totally new to internet marketing and one of the very first suggestions I got during my initial training was to use Yahoo! Answers as one of my marketing tactics. I have to admit I totally forgot about it, though. I guess to be truly effective you have to actually know the answers to stuff, huh? I might have a problem there...

This may sound like a daft question but I am yet to set up a blog - do you just point to your general blog home page where visitors would just scroll down the page to read posts or do you point to specific blog posts, are there different urls you would use in your links then? Just not too sure how I would do this...
    Thanks!

Everything can be done with your creativity in marketing.

There are a few good ways to use Yahoo Answer to make money:

      1) Use 2 different username. post a question and an answer with another username. Affiliate links posted there as anchor text will be good.

      2) Capture their details. you can always direct them back to your squeeze page or blog. Make sure if its blog the blog post must be relevant to what the topic is, and bring them to the sales page.

    Providing it is not abused.

That said - it is easy for Yahoo to police it, so of all the strategies out there, Yahoo Answers seems to me to be right up there among the best for direct traffic - which is where the future is in my view.
