Best way to market a very long article?

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can get my 10,000 word article(s) to efficiently circulate the net?

Should I put it on my blog and hope my RSS feed does the trick?
Should I post it on Ezines (which I don't really want to do)?

You can also cut it into small pieces, and post each on a Web 2.0 property page and your main website. For example 3 on your website, one on Ezines, one on Hubpages, one on Squidoo, etc, all containing links back to your website.

Write a 500 - 800 word summary of your article for all the article directories. Include the pdf in your sig file.

Your long article should go into a PDF(creating a white paper) for download.

Upload your PDF and summary in the white paper directories.

Think...Sales Machine.

Sounds like it'd make a wonderful e-book. Try and break it into chapters - then you can market it by giving away the first chapter free to whoever does what to get the freebie.

And sell the ebook. Amazon? WSO? On your own site with affiliates? On related forums where someone could be interested in it, so you have a website they can visit for info and your ebook is the info? [I'm just brainstorming here - that last item may well not work!]

But it does sound like a much better ebook than article.
