Default Why are Ad-Swaps so popular?

Hi there,

Okay - so Ad Swaps seem to be the thing dominating the 'Joint Ventures' forum, and i'm just curious as to why.

Is it that people really want to build their list - and with an Ad Swap you don't pay commission, you just swap links to each others squeeze page?

I mean, I'm looking for just 2 affiliates to partner with for my first launch - with a $500 commission, and didn't get a single reply. But the Ad Swap threads get lots of views and replies.

So I'm just curious - why are Ad Swaps such a big deal? What's their advantages?

I know a lot of IM terms and whatnot - but I guess this one slipped by me.

Thanks for any feedback,
Shawn

Shawn, ad swaps have two big things going for them...

They can give you access to very targeted prospects for your offer, and

They require no cash outlay.

The second reason may be more important than the first...

And it's an easy and very effective way to build your list... although there's sort of a catch-22, in that you need to have some people on your list already in order to be an attractive swap partner.

And, the third reason is that they require no cash outlay.

Which may be more important that the first two combined.

Want to guess what the fourth reason is, and it's even more important.

I did some ad swaps and my lists jumped by a few hundred subscribers each time.

Interesting guys, thanks for the replies!

(I thought I would get email updates when someone replied to my own thread, so I just thought no one did!)

So essentially, as I understand, they have no cash outlay?

It'd be interesting to try some 'As Swaps' sometime. I guess I can go hunting when I'm ready.

Isn't it a bit similar to a reciprocal mailing?

I'm wary about doing too many ad swaps, because I'll have to compete more to get my subscribers attention if they subscribe to another marketers list; less sales for me. Much perfer JV's.

I believe fellow warrior Adeel Chowdhry started the ad swaps technique. Any way here are the videos he created a while ago when he started the ad swaps. Adswaps is a great idea for building your list at no cost.

Check out his videos below on ad swaps:
