Default "They Just Don't Get It!" - Do You Have This Frustration?

Hi everyone,

For a presentation next week, I'm looking for a few more examples of instances where you are trying to sell something (online or off) and you are not quite sure why, but the customers simply do not "get it."

Or, examples where you did realize to your surprise exactly what they didn't get, and it was something really obvious to you but not to them.

For instance, a software company was trying to sell a "small business CRM" system, but 90% of small business owners didn't have a clue what CRM stood for or how it might be helpful to them.

If you could provide a link to your sales page along with your example, that would be helpful.

If I end up analyzing or discussing your example, either during the presentation or in a series of autoresponder followups for those who attended the presentation, I will of course give you a copy of what I say about it. This in itself could amount to free consulting for you if I am able to see what the reason for the disconnect might be. (My usual fee is $350 an hour.)

Also helpful would be any examples where you were somewhat interested in buying something but there was something fundamental about the way it was described that was baffling to you.

And of course, comments of any sort on this phenomenon are welcome.

Thank you!
