Using an iphone to make videos

Hi, I would like to know if using a basic iphone for making videos is ok or if it would not come out looking professional enough.

I think that iPhones produce pretty decent videos and I sometimes
use a iphone 4 to do quick videos for YouTube. Here is one
    sample:

That looks pretty decent. I keep thinking that maybe it would look unprofressional, but based on your video, it looks fine. I've got an iphone 4 too so I guess I'm good to go. Thanks.

Agree with the microphone. They also have some GREAT apps you can use to edit and enhance video right on your phone.

VideoShop and VideoCraft are the best.

I shoot edit, and upload my entire Talk Show on my iPhone6.

I have done very professional videos with my 5S. The biggest deal will be lighting and sound. Inexpensive lighting kits you can get from Amazon or your local hardware store. Microphone? You have lots of options.

At the very least, get a wireless lapel with a 20 foot cord. Audio Technica has one for about $20. Or, what a lot of people do (including me) is use a Zoom Audio Recorder. You can use it as a lapel (plug an inexpensive lapel into it), a shotgun mic and a USB mic when you plug it into your computer.

I use a Zoom H4N but you can start out with a Zoom H1 as well.

eBay? amazon? there is a lot of choices, you can have lapel mic for around $20-$30 which is already good for sound quality. Or you want to have separate recorder like Zoom, and then sync it with the video from your iphone with your video editing software.

iPhone is fine if you ensure the lighting is good.
Also best to use a stable surface or tripod to ensure a steady hand- not a fan of the jerky videos which do make them look unprofessional.
    Good luck!
