Are Pre-launch WSO Threads Allowed?

Are we allowed to pay $20 to pre-launch WSO's to create an interest list? I would obviously send them to a opt-in page until the actual launch of the WSO.

Is this allowed? I know in the past, it was acceptable.

Forgive me if this has already been answered. I just couldn't find it among all the new rules.

I'm wondering the same thing??? It would be so much better to build some hype about a product before the launch date

They go in classifieds then when launched they can go into main WSO section.

Rule #16: Buy Buttons Must Be Present

To sell a WSO in the WSO Section of the forum, your offer must have a Buy Button that takes the user to a checkout. This link cannot take the user to your website, an order form or an opt-in page.

This rule applies to the main WSO Marketplace.

Can you put a link from the prelaunch to the WSO after it is launched?

You're not allowed to post a pre-launch because the new rules don't allow you to send people to a squeeze page for the purposes of gathering emails.

You must submit it as a freebie in the classifieds or simply post it as a WSO at a price.

What's the point in being a jerk because someone asked what they believe to be a legitimate question. This is the very reason why many avoid asking questions or getting involved in the forum.

Try focusing on helping the guy and not tearing them down. I truly despise people like you who don't have the ability to show kindness.

Whoa, what's with all the animosity? Who said he's an authority? He never made that claim and you don't know what he's selling.

There are plenty of people on this forum that don't create informational products, but create really great stuff like graphics packs, video creation software, PLR articles, etc.

Keep your rude comments to yourself if you're not going to be helpful. We don't need that.

No problem. That's like the fourth rude comment I've seen this person post this morning. Not nice.

You're not allowed to do this. You're not even allowed to hint at a upcoming WSO.
    So no pre-launch posts/threads.

  • I don't believe you can.

You can probably promote a pre-launch in this forum..

Thanks so much for the quick responses!

I was reading a couple of WSOs about creating a prelaunch thread.

It looks like the rules have changed.

The rules for WSOs did change this year - and that's why there is confusion (and fussiness, too).

You can't run a pre-launch as a WSO because a pre-launch is "free" and you can no longer run a "free WSO".

This is a change from previous policy - and I think it's a positive change.

That said, you can run a pre-launch that becomes a WSO - but during the pre-launch stage it will be advertised in the Classified Section. It can go to a WSO when you launch your product and add a payment button.
