I think some people just read first post and then add there own thoughts without reading other replies.

I don't really think it's a case of copying your post in the example above.

      what they wrote:

Individuals are not necessarily engaged which can be liking the page.. this means it can cost more to promote to. losds of men and women who cpuld attention less.. also organic and natural views of one's posts will probably be thinned out there to these kinds of fake likers

Its safer to have 1000 employed people who would like to be right now there thsn 100000 that are just lots

Facebook analytics weighs about more about engagement as compared to likes.

They were simply translating for other members here...

Note - I couldn't understand the translation, but I only speak a few languages. That one was unintelligible to me.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I meant no harm, just trying to add to the conversation.

You seem to be looking for problems - those posts are not identical.

Sometimes several people give the "right answer" - doesn't mean it's copied.

EDIT: If it wasn't Michael, that means the mods saw exactly what you saw and deleted the post that was replicated?

What about when 30 people on one page have to post the "right answer" ??? That one is always amusing. They are all sigwhores.

Must need my glasses cleaned then. I must have been looking at the thread numbers wrong. your ideas are spot on, it's a terrible idea nowadays to buy likes. Destroys engagement factors and lowers your shown to numbers.

Start worrying about it when they collate a few dozen of your posts into a "free report" and then advertise it on their own squeeze-page as the incentive for the opt-in, without even bothering to change the wording at all! (I'm not referring to anyone in this thread, needless to say - nor actually to anyone still posting here, but such things do happen!!).

They'll always delete "paste-ins", if someone "reports" them.

It changes the numbering of the remaining posts in the thread, of course, when one's removed.

      Just to inflate their post-count.

Sometimes to sell a "WF profile with 100 posts" in another forum (banned members will sometimes buy them, to "get back in here" for spamming/scamming).

ok, that makes sense..it is hideously annoying, but at least the mods agree =)

There is a particular mentality that is often given shrift in IM. The idea of shortcuts, loopholes, and stealing. When these are promoted as a normal way of conducting business online it is a short step to copy and pasting anything for any purpose.

Plus you've still got people who think that anything on the internet is freely available for them to use without any attribution or permission needed. There was just a thread about somebody who wanted to buy wallpaper packs and how many of those images are pirated. Very interesting and enlightening discussion

Sometimes the only answer is people are lazy, stupid or 12.

Knowing why doesn't make them smarter - just more annoying.

They are looking for threads to slap their signature on.

That's at least 50% of the posts on this forum.

A lot of people start threads for the same reason. They will start a thread that consists of something like, "Backlinks are good. Get them."

Meanwhile their signature is longer than their post.

    Also,

I've had posts of mine from another forum turned into a WSO on this forum. (And I'm sure I'm not the only one) I could tell that they just changed a few words around here and there. They also just transplanted entire chunks.

      [heavy-sarcasm]
But Ghoster, according to several ebooks, reports, courses and forum posts, isn't that just "rewriting"? After all, every word here is copied from another book, except for the typos. Of course, that book is a dictionary, but what the heck, anything for a buck, right?
