We need your opinion...would pay for a list building service?

I am working on developing a productized service that a lot of my clients ask for and has worked well.

Just like the title says if we offered a service with a flat rate offers to build your email list for your niche market would you pay for that and what would you pay?

These wouldn't be purchased list they would be fresh targeted list we build using your branding, blog, social channels etc. We build the list and you decide what to do after wards

Possible pricing:

$200 per month
+
$0.50 cents per email

Personally, I would not be interested for three reasons. One, verification of emails. How many are legit? How many will convert? A million person list is worthless if it doesn't convert. Two, I'm skeptical. If you could build a quality list that easily that will convert.. Why wouldn't you keep it, grow it and profit from it long term? Third, no guarantee. I could pay you $200 plus .50 per sign up for a list that doesn't convert.

IMO, too many question marks to invest in, personally. However, I believe there could be a more profitable market if you built the email responders and proved conversions, etc.

While it can work if you target your market carefully (total newbies who just want optins without working hard or at all for it), your service can be of some value.

For me personally and most advanced marketers, we'll just go get our own leads.

Just like solo ads, lots of potential for abuse. I think the people here would eat it up.

I would pass, no doubt. I build my own list of leads because I know how/where/who needs to be targeted specifically for my own funnel etc.

I just wouldn't trust your service quite simply.

Thanks for the feedback seems like a consensus is that it's sketchy, too expensive and of little value to a majority of the market which means low income potential.

Thanks guys I will be posting another idea soon, working on launching a business in 7 days so I'm crossing ideas off my idea list.

Newbies would be interested in this because it provides the path of least resistance, but most IM vets would take initiative themselves. I actually think the biggest hangup would be price. Perhaps if you bundled the service with ideas on what your buyer could advertise to their list, a novice's interest would be further piqued.
