Ebay is pretty picky these days on who they will accept to their partner network. I don't know if the blog in your signature is what you applied with but I see it is monetized with Amazon and other banner ads. Ebay doesn't like competition so when you apply to them make sure your blog/website is not monetized and then if they accept you then you can monetize it as you wish.

It's not that one but another one with Amazon. You'd think they would want to get in there and compete with Amazon, no? Pretty dumb of them.

Is anyone making any decent money with EPN these days? Ever since they changed how they calculate ACRUs a few years ago, it's been pretty dead for me.

Webatomic I make way more money with Adsense than eBay and that says a lot.

I just figured it was another ting I could offer on the site. I guess I won't cry over it if it's not beneficial.

I am still able to turn up a few grand a month from epn...it's not dead at all, you just have to be smarter on how you market and what your market.

Yep, making some dough on epn too. Was a tough one to get accepted. I agree with mighty_falcon - it's all about focusing in on what is being bid upon.

Yeah, I've been with ebay forever and they still denied me too...

I emailed them and the response I got back was to resubmit and let them know I've been with them for a long time...

I never did...as I got focused on other things...but It's a tough one for sure.

EPN wants to see old site, lots of content, no other monetization as there's too many potential fouls with other programs. Having adsense for example technically precludes the use of the contextual ebay ad widgets and last time I looked at the EPN agreement depending on how you read the agreement you're supposed to block ebay property and competing auction/discount site adwords. Having AA potentially violates competing/comparison clause. Running EPN and other ad programs like Adsense is sailing kind of close to the wind in any case, there's lots of times EPN could throw the competing/comparison flag, and Adsense could throw flags for contextual-until-proven-otherwise widgets. It's understandable ebay doesn't want to compete with itself or substantially similar services on the same affiliate site.

I made another application last week and have waited a week so far and not heard anything. How long do they usually take?

It took 2 tries for me to get accepted. First time around I didn't realize that you needed a website to get in so I left that blank. After doing some reading I tried again with my website being my online store. Shortly after I got an email saying I was accepted.

I actually put in a website and confirmed it immediately but evidently it didn't "speed up" the confirmation process like they said it would at all

They accepted me, and numerous friends all non-US based without a problem.

The reason they don't normally allow registration is down to the target site that is used in the application. If its too thin or if there's too many ads it'll usually be denied.
