Just read a note by an colleague who is going fulltime as an internet marketer leaving a job of 11 years has made me reflect on my own position today.

I can honestly say that I have no regrets starting my own online business and will never work for anyone ever again.

The benefits ...

- More money - In month one I made more money than my employer paid working less hours

- Quality of life - I spend more time with my family and have the freedom I needed to enjoy life

- No Daft Boss - I cannot express how much I appreciate the fact that I no longer report to an as**h***e.

- Healthy - I have lost weight, am less stressed and feel great.

Whatever your dream is keep pressing on ... you can do it

    I'm new to IM but haven't worked for a boss for about 20 years! Its great to be able to make your own decisions and not dread going to work every day. I can choose what to do when I like and, best of all, choose who I like to work with!

    In my experience:

    Main benefits of being a full time IM'er:

    - Geographical freedom (you can work from anywhere)
    - Work on your terms (no stupid boss, company rules or incompetent work mates)
    - Feeling of achievement (you build your own success!)
    - And obviously higher income (6 figures per year is within anyone's reach).

    Main drawbacks of being a full time IM'er:

    - Less social life (it's a lonely job. I speak to more people over MSN and Skype on a regular basis than I speak to actual 3D people)
    - Too much time spent at home in front of the screen (it's difficult to call it a day at a reasonable hour, there's always something to do that keeps you online for an extra hour or two)
    - Obsession towards work (there's always some new project that keeps your mind busy, it's hard to relax through the weekend without checking your Google Analytics or your PPC campaigns at least once).

    All in all, yup: no chance I'm coming back to the 9-to-5 cage.

    Some good advice there. Hopefully that will inspire others as well.

    Other things I love about working for my self are the " extended holidays"

    And especially if you are online marketer then what is so good about it is that you can travel the world, have your laptop with you and make money wherever you are.

    You can not beat the feeling and actual situation whereas you know what you're doing and can generate income on demand.

    An online business can give most anyone the freedoms mentioned above if they become deadly serious about achieving success.
