WARNING for My Fellow Sellers

Won't name names, but apparently it came to light tonight that there's a WF member who has been scrolling through the WSO forum and finding things he wants (I mean from today all the way back at LEAST 2013 - maybe longer).

He emailed the seller saying, - well, let me show you what he said to me:

>>>>Hi Tiffany, for whatever reason, I did not receive my download? can you help me please. thanks, (name removed)

So I sent it to him because I was busy. 30 mins later a good buddy of mine emails me saying she got a weird email (same thing - only for HER WSO).

So I ask for his receipt. Oh, he's having computer trouble - can't get it, etc. I call him out as someone who is now being considered a thief (since 2 others say he did it to them), and he asks me for my buy button.

THEN he buys it. He didn't buy the others. So I posted about it on my FB. Suddenly MORE people are coming out - EXACT same message being used all the way back to 2013 when he scammed someone out of their kitchen PLR.

Now for me, it's a personal lesson learned - no more being lazy, have to give everyone a hard time and require the receipt, double check it, etc. I hate that. I'd have preferred to lend trust.

We joked about having him banned as a buyer on some platforms, but really, why? He's not buying anyway! He's emailed the lazy or busy marketers and taking advantage of them. So what's a ban going to do?

Just wanted to alert you to the verbiage being used. I noticed he had posted in one WSO here saying something around the same thing - bet that person sent it to him.

Not one of us had found him in our systems as being an actual buyer.

So who wants to write the "How to Contact Lazy or Busy Marketers and Scam Them Out of Their Products?" WSO?

Tiff

That's sad. If only such people would use their inventive mind to be productive
rather than stealing from others. You were caught for sure. But I always
check my PayPal records before I give out such information. Now you
    realize your mistake.

And, personally, I wouldn't have accepted the payment. I really don't want
you as a customer if you intend to steal from me.

Yeah definitely take responsibility for my part in allowing it to happen. Hate that!

But no, he's paying for it. LOL! I banned him from future purchases, but he already got my product so I'm keeping his money. NOW I don't want him as a customer anymore

    The worst part?

When he bought and opted in, I give away some expected freebies and he emailed me thanking me for them! One of the other girls who demanded her money? He asked her for a discount or freebies up front! The nerve...

There was a guy here five or so years ago that was sending out form letters via PM to warriors asking for a refund. He included a random paypal transaction number. I almost never check the number, I just issue the refund.

But this time I checked because I didn't offer a refund on this WSO. Sure enough, he'd been doing if for several weeks before he got busted. Too bad these crooks don't put that kind of creativity to better use.

The sad part being, in voicing concern about this one theif might bring to life others who'll copy a thiefs success, but not the white hat methods many warriors offer up in here!

I would've never even imagined someone would even attempt such a low blow... Especially, upon those who've contributed as much as you gals/guys have here.

Some people sometimes will do anything to get something for free.. I guess that's why he didn't send you the Paypal receipt while asking the download page..

Maybe we can put in our sales letters that refund will be paid upon request to the support desk, not via WF PM

    To be honest...

If people feel the need to do this, then chances are that they will fail.

I think thieves will be thieves no matter what and even if you stop them they won't buy from you anyway so you'd best not get so stressed about it because it's not worth it anyway.

Yep, the same person tried it on me last October...

It seems to be a very standard message, so look out for it if you sell here:

      First Name: D
"I did not receive my download? can you help me please. thanks, D ..."

I think he gets away with it because he copies just enough info from the initial purchase/receipt page (what you see before you actually make payment) to make it look real...eg:
Invoice number: PLR Report + Articles + Graphics + SEM Tools Pack (1412981943)
      Total: $7.00 US

(Funny, I almost contacted you at the time about him to see if he had hit on you too)

At the end he asked for my PP info so he could buy the PLR pack ... but of course he didn't - lol!

Thanks for the heads up Tiffany! I always give people the benefit of the doubt but a proven thief is a real problem, so just best to block 'em or blacklist them.

You have saved many others from a thief (and warned about others in the past), so many thanks for being our watch dog.

Its sad to see this happening but the truth is if you search for any black hat seo websites, they are all trying to get online products for free. Its just part of marketing and I would not worry about it to much but I can understand how frustrating it can be to see it happen especially when it happens to you.

99% of people who try to get something for Free will Never succeed online because they don't have the drive to do it.

Using a platform like WarriorPayments or JVZoo or W+ would allow telling buyers to "just go back to the platform and re-download the products you purchased" wouldn't it?

It's probably the same person that did it before. I'm seeing people here that were "gone" for a long time and are returning to see if the new management will let them in. A few of them are pulling the same old tricks...

Yep - he's been a member here since 2008! I think I'm the only one who he actually did end up buying the product from (guilt?) but not all the others.

The one he got me on was a WSO listing with a direct paypal link - it was old, not through any platform. So he wouldn't have anywhere to download from since my DLG has expiring links.
