I love the money that my articles generate. Even in niches that I'm not familiar with, I find it enjoyable to learn about them more as I research them prior to my article writing. Plus, I like to try and pinpoint the hot buttons - those areas within the niche that cause problems or stress for people.

There's so much information available on all niches that it really is relatively easy to gather content to write about. You just have to know which online resources to rely upon....There are some great places that will speed up the learning curve!

The current trend is money first but a lot of successful marketers always say provide value first..money will come on its own..

I've personally observe that those giving testimonies about their earnings give valuable information first..some information that others would just keep to themselves..

Usually the trick in earning while giving valuable information is by discreetly inserting affiliate links on the text of the valuable information they are sharing..

I can't give specifics but I've actually observed this on the sites of some marketers announcing their earnings..when I visited their site they are indeed giving away very valuable information and was able to insert a couple or more affiliate links in the text of the valuable information they are sharing..

This shows that they prioritized giving value to the niche first..and just discreetly inserted links to make money which shows it was secondary..And this is the wise thing to do..

don't just focus on giving away valuable niche information but also don't try to just press for sales..

One last thing. A particular marketer I've observed doing this showed he was earning more than a hundred per day :-)

As a newbie, i find it easier to write about the things I have some inkling of interest in. I've tried writing about other stuff that's out of the realm of my understanding, but it just gets harder and I lose focus much quicker. I think, at first, if you write about the stuff you enjoy, are passionate about, the easier it is to get it out. In turn, your readers will sense your connection and will be more inclined to purchase from you.

When I first began writing I wrote about things that interested me, and things that I was passionate about, however as you learn your craft you should find that it does actually get a lot easier over a wide variety of niches. Now I tend to write about alternative medicine, nutrition, acne, psychologicla articles, such as the psychology of success, self esteem, self help etc.

I have written most of the content for
Peltours Egypt Holidays - Taba Red Sea - Nile Cruises by Peltours UK
and I have never set foot in Egypt.

For me when I was learning the craft of writing what was important was writing in a fluid way that held people's interest, once you have mastered that you can write about anything. Having said that I should be writing about rowing machines this second, but the subject is sending me to sleep.

The most important thing is the fact the caontent is king, so many web sites today are pseudo review sites that tell you nothing at all. I totally agree that good quality information builds trust and trusts oils the wheels for more busienss.

    It depends on the niche..

If I really like the niche I do it because I like to..

On the other hand - I also sometimes just do it for money

I lose focus quickly trying to write on some topic in which I have no interest. However, I realize there only so many niches from which you can make money. So, this brings me to the question: What are some ways to monetize a niche on which you have an interest but doesn't have a high demand? My particular interest lies in technical areas such as mathematics, programming (i.e. C++, C, Java). Any help?

  • It depends on the niche!

There are niches and markets that I'm insanely interested in but I'm also in markets that I'm not interested in at all, but are profitable.

I agree that you should love what you do so I definitely think that you should be involved with niches that you are interested in but when it comes down to it, the real reason that I sit down at my computer every day is to make money so I accept that not EVERYTHING I have to do is going to be necessarily fun.

My drive comes from being able to leverage the money I make into a full time business. I also learn a lot about stuff I had no clue about before. It is a real learning experience.

My drive using article comes from the desire to make some good money. I have no money for paid advertising so I use free ones and article marketing is probably one of the most effective. And, to be honest, I don't enjoy writing articles - I dislike it but gotta do what I gotta do to make it!
