Friend has just gotten access to 400 Mbps up and down speeds, what now?

Hello friends,

I close friend recently moved into a building that offers fiber connection at 500 mbps up and down.

He is wondering what the best method of attack would be in 2015 to utilize this properly?

The ISP blocks no ports, and does not restrict the bandwidth in any way.

The installer mentioned they "don't like spammers"

So guys, what would YOU do if this internet connection fell in your lap today?

I know what I would do, but it really depends on what your friend can do. Look into video marketing.

It doesn't matter to your friend what I'd do. Everything he can do depends on his own skills, doesn't it? Online income is inevitably skill-based. Isn't the real question "What does he know how to do"?

(I have a 150Mbps connection at home, and to be honest I find it quite hard to envisage getting much additional benefit from anything even faster than that? I haven't noticed any real difference in anything - including interactive sites and video - since my connection went up from 50 and then 100Mbps).

I'd start caching the entire internet onto private HDD's, when the internet crashed start selling people access to your private bank of knowledge and pictures of cats ..

I can send him videos on a portable hard drive and have him upload them for me. Right now I am putting a lot of 4K videos in creative commons. Forget about large movies. Yeah, those would take too long with my copper wire. These are mostly small snips. However, they are still so big that unloading them is a pain. Please do PM me.

It does not matter, 28K or 500 mbps. It's what he does that matters. By the sounds of it he is pretty clueless so many he should start by joining the Forum...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
