Yep, classified Ads are your best option, even the free ones. Your website will also work well with social media, especial with groups, where you post new job entries in real time. Open a group on facebook, linkedin, skype and google+.

Invite people to the groups and encourage staff members to do the same. To make it popular you'll have to keep adding new people to the groups on a daily basis, don't do it once and think that's it. You can also try a facebook page as well.

Hope that helps and good luck with your company

As is always the case, Internet marketing begins with market research to find out where the demand is coming from.

You've identified your market as job seekers in the oil and gas sector, as well as oil and gas companies that employ such.

Where can you target these people online so that you can offer your product (web site portal) to them?

Classified ads, social media, etc is probably not going to help you much in your targeting unless you can filter your ads to be seen by these specific candidates for your site. If you randomly advertise to general populations you're not going to do well in your conversions.

So the answer I would give to your question is simply to go online and search for your perfect customers. When you find them, then it will be easier to identify where you should be marketing.

      The very best to you.

I went to OilJobsZone.Com, but nothing's there. So, by just working with what you said above, and by using our relevant experience:

If you're looking for companies in your target countries that'd be interested in posting their job vacancies in your site, then --

    • You can hire lead generation experts to find and contact HR managers and other decision makers in the relevant departments of those companies, in order to pitch your compelling job posting offers, or you can hire a Web advertising and PR specialist with expertise in LinkedIn advertising, paid ad placements and paid advert / PR distribution so as to formulate and execute test ad campaigns in LinkedIn, PRWeb and in other relevant social networks, niche-relevant sites / blogs / Web forums, or you can do both; and

NOTE: Cold phone calls, faxes and emails, as well as LinkedIn advertising and LinkedIn InMails have generated good results for our B2B advertising / marketing campaigns in other industries of various countries...

If you're looking for professionals in your target countries who'd be interested in the job vacancies of those companies, then --

    • You can hire a Web advertising and social media marketing pro with expertise in Facebook PPC / PPM / post boost and paid ad / advert placements in niche-related sites / blogs / Web forums / other social networks so as to formulate and execute test ad campaigns in these relevant online places...

NOTE: Facebook PPC / PPM / post boost advertising has generated good results for our company's internal hiring / employee sourcing campaigns here in the Philippines...

The best way to make your job portal popular is Social Media.. like Facebook. Try to add more people on groups and also ask your other team members to do the same. You can also prefer other Social Media sites.

Since you don't have an ad budget, I would start a Facebook page and group. Post on those every day to let people know what you are doing on your site.
Also, send press releases to the media. Can be done free or very low budget. Do a search on the forum for press releases.
