Depending on what you decide to get into you could have a huge learning curve especially if you're completely new to internet marketing.

I'd stay as far away as you can from anything that seems too good to be true because most of the time it leads to some type of MLM.

If you want to start with true internet marketing look into buying some products related to list building, generating paid and free traffic and maybe copywriting to get you started.

If you jump right into pure affiliate marketing you probably won't have much luck.

    I hope that helps

Is there anything you would personally consider to start with while growing into the learning curve to the point where you're not losing motivation really quick due to nothing really changing within months of starting?

Focus on building your list and while you do that learn how to master the art of creating authority and e-mail marketing.

Many subscribers won't buy from you right away which is something I'm sure you already know but seeing the number of your list grow should give you enough confidence to keep going at it.

We'd be all day if I answered this question. Instead of giving you fish, I'll teach you how to fish.

    1. Scour the web for moneymaking systems.
    2. Decide which ones you have the ability to do.
    3. Decide which ones you would want to do.
    4. Dig deeper and discover if the systems are actually working.
    5. Isolate the systems with the best long-term potential that can eventually be outsourced.
    6. Choose one system.
    7. Put together a complete plan.
    8. Review the plan for any problems.
    9. Take action.

    Rinse, repeat.

Some of the information you'll find for free. Some, the high-level stuff, will be locked up and you'll have to buy.

What sort of skills do you have? Personally, I try to make use of various freelancing websites. There are many, and if you're good at what you do (writing, web design, SEO services, anything), you could make quite a bit of cash online.

This is not something where anyone of us can suggest you do...you succeed...you build a successful IM business. You should do some research in this forum to see what aspects of IM interest you based on your skills and your knowledge. Then try it out to see if it works for you. Focus on it without any distractions, without the shiny object syndrome. Then if you find some measure of success, rinse and repeat it.

I have 25 niche sites that generate me enough money each month to live comfortably off as well an email list full of buyers. These 2 alone are enough for me but I have many other multiple streams of income that make me up to $10k a month.

      Nice.

I've been wondering and trying to figure out how to find really profitable niches. Then all of a sudden I accidentally find one, only to find out it is already exrtremely crowded. Haven't really had too much luck in that department.

Any tips on how to find good niches?

You're right there are many ways to earn online but you don't want to overwhelm yourself to start out.
This might help you out a bit, I hope.

    - Build up a following (email list, subscribers, followers, friends etc..)

    - Find an offer or product to offer or sell. (Make sure it will convert, how will you know? Did it convert
or entice you to learn more? That's how you know! If you hate it don't offer or try to sell it. If you love it then go for it.

    - Action plan (put that offer or product in front of your following)

Consistency and taking action is the key!!!!

    Hope this helped Good Luck!

What many people don't know is that in order to build a list, you'll need a minimum of $500. This involves getting a squeeze page, split testing different ones to see which converts better, and getting high quality traffic to the page.

If you don't want to spend thousands to build your list, then the best way is to build the list up to 500 subscribers and then start doing ad swaps with other email lists with similar size lists. This means you'll be able to build a list for free once you gain the momentum.

I'm really glad nobody told me that before I started. I didn't have (and certainly didn't need!) anything like that, to do it professionally; that might just have put me off.

Here is one that works, but it requires some time and effort. Some offline work is also required..I go to a local Home Improvement store on weekends and look for clearance items and returns. ( Besides my normal purchases)

These products are heavily discounted. You have to be very careful what to purchase. Not everything is a bargain or some products don't sell at all. I like to look at fixtures in boxes that are easy to ship.

Once I find something that I like, I pay for the product and bring it home. Later on I will log on to Amazon.com to list the product in my sellers account. Amazon allows you to enter the bar code numbers and it will match the product to others that are listed on Amazon. If a decent profit is available it is time to list the product. If the product moves quickly Amazon will send you a note to ship the item. Take the product to the Post office and ship it right away. 30 days later Amazon deposits the money in a checking account.

Their is more involved to this method but it works. You will not be leaving your day job but there are some decent profits in it. Amazon is advertising for you and it makes money online. Hopefully that helps answer your question.

    Entreprenelius,

What we do to make money online is generate B2B leads and close good contracts for our brick and mortar company; and

There are lots of creative ways to make money online. Here are some of them:

    1. Highest 2014 Youtube Earner -- This video author earned almost $5M last year from ad revenues...

Decent Concept = Create videos where you open and demonstrate Disney toys. Or, create videos about other things with commercial value that thousands upon thousands of people want to watch and are searching for in Youtube and in Google and are sharing and talking about in various heavily trafficked social networks. Sign up as a Youtube partner. Upload your videos. Optimize your videos for human viewers and for organic Youtube and SE traffic. Promote your Youtube channel in social networks. Test out paid Youtube advertising, Facebook advertising, Google Adwords, Bing advertising, private ad banner / text ad / advert / mailing list ad placement and PR distribution campaigns. Here are the stats of this video author:

    Total Subscribers: 3,213,200
    Monthly Views: 379,932,270
    Estimated Annual Earnings: 4,860,207.60 USD

    2. eBay, CL and other heavily trafficked classified ad sites -- Buy low. Sell high. That's it...

    3. Offer telecommuting / remote services in online places where service buyers go to, well, buy services. These can be services that are required by Webmasters, online business owners, Web design / SEO providers, technology development businesses, Web property managers / marketing managers of companies and so on -- Self-explanatory...

There are many other ways, such as affiliate marketing, creating and selling your own digital products like software products and mobile apps, generating leads for local companies and businesses, flipping websites, flipping domains and so on...

My best advice is to find something you are interested in, find a helpful marketer who can be your mentor, leave everybody and everything else alone and take all the action your mentor tells you to take. Do that with even a mediocre mentor and you will succeed. Just don't expect to make thousands of dollars your first month. Only 1 in 1000 and liars make 5000 their first month. Don't think you are the special 1.

You have read, you asked for help, now take action.

Well, First you have to decide what kind of business you are planning to start. If you move further for getting the huge profit, then I would like to suggest you for eCommerce business and affiliate business. It is the best way by which you can earn huge money in lesser time. Apart from this, you can also prefer the freelancing.

Well, here is my method. Build a list of hungry subscriber in your niche by giving away free things, then start building healthy relationship with ur list by sending them regular updates in that niche. Don't always try to sell, rather give value. By this way you can increase your crdibility in their eyes then sell to that list
. Thats it. Afterall the miney is in the List.

You're right, there are a million ways to make money online. You're in the right place to ask questions so everyone here will pretty much help you out. Start researching the different ways you can create income and choose the ones you feel comfortable with and know you will be able to follow through with it until you start having success with it then, if possible, scale it up.

Don't get into the habit of trying different systems all at once, you will only get frustrated and confused. I know I was in the beginning! Stick to one system and master it. Once you find success in it, simply rinse and repeat.

I will post ads to classified sites like Craiglist, Gumtree, USA Free Ads as well as Google Adwords and Facebook.

You might find it hard to believe what I am about to say. But posting ads especially to classified sites is what makes me my first $ when I got started in 2008.

I simply send the visitors straight to the salespage.

Back then I did not even know how to build websites or what list building is. I only got to master those when I decided to do IM full time 2 years later.

Though list building and email marketing are the still best strategies, it could do you more harm if you are a complete newbie who does not know how to set up squeeze pages, autoresponder or write content that converts readers into customers in both squeeze pages and emails.

So posting ads is the best way to get started.

Of course if you are not camera or video shy, you can set up a Youtube channel and post a series of videos whereby people can see you talking in person or doing powerpoint presentations.

Making money online is indeed doable in so many ways.
The first thing to do, if you're thinking about making this step, is to stay away from fishy, scammy, too good to be true offers (like, paid surveys or stuff like that).
Once you eliminate these "methods", start thinking about what skills you have. You can do pretty much anything, you already listed a few good examples of ways to make money online. Now you just have to pick one that you think you're good at or the one thing you think you'll be quickly able to learn more about.

The first thing you need to do to learn to make money online is to study somebody that has done what you would like to do, somebody that can offer a step by step guide to show you how. Then my suggestion is to take consistent action every day. Study what niche you would like to venture off to and make sure it's a hungry evergreen niche. Always focus on building your list of prospects and delivering massive value and solutions to your prospects.

If I was in your shoes, I would just do ANYTHING. You need to do something, make mistakes and learn from them.

Don't just sit around over-analyzing things, because no matter how much plan your steps, you WILL fail anyway, as there's no other way around it.

The basic formula is to create valuable content, attract readers to your website/blog via social media/forums and then monetize it.
