Super Affiliates... Where you at?
Anyway, I'll tell the full story, so excuse me for the wall of text.
A year ago I studied how to target down into a niche and develop a new an innovative product. This would allow me to market in a virtually competition free area, and charge full value prices. I went into the legitimate work from home job category.
Mainly due to personal experience with work from home jobs. I researched what books were already written on the topic (i bought them and studied the reviews for the ones on amazon and looked around the internet for anything I could find selling on the topic.) I'm a former active duty marine, and I took this like performing reconnaissance. The other stuff out there is just horrific. Feel free to take a look.
I then wrote my book. In it, I cover over 20 real work from home job opportunities, and I provide links to places where people can apply today. These links are to job boards and companies that are always hiring. Also, 3 low cost businesses they can start. I show people a professional resume building process. A productivity schedule, to ensure they are putting in the correct amount of effort to get the job. A way to program motivation and the enjoyment of creating a better life for themselves into their habits. It's a process I designed using interrupts, emotional spikes, and positive affirmations. They employ it while doing the process in the productivity schedule when distractions occur. In order to make them enjoy it, and it doesn't feel like work. I did this to increase the success level of the product.
I show them how to form connections inside of companies who will help them get the jobs before they even interview using LinkedIn. Finally, I go over how to ace interviews in a way that puts them miles ahead of their competition.
I also give away a free ebook that talks about setting up a google ppc campaign for the business owners.
I used the ppc advice in my marketing book to set up a landing page and ppc campaign to this site: Work From Home
I got 500 clicks to the page, the people clicked the link over to my store (153 went from the sales page to the store - though I suspect many of these clicks to be robots) - prior to my money back guarantee.
But none of them purchased. I researched more marketing tactics got the idea to send them to a lead capture page, and offer a money back guarantee.
I chucked the text ppc ads because my funds are low and switched over to the display network. Then started targeting nearly 2500 keywords. The traffic is less targeted, but cheaper so I could test and optimize. My banners convert around .38% - this is after I started targeting the specific age groups that were converting.
I sent the display network people to this page: http://www.limitlifter.com/
I got 5 conversions from 199 people which cost me $21.52 and I got 1 sell. My product sells for $154.99
I don't know if this is consistent as I got the sell very recently. Anyway, I hope to see this repeat itself over the next few days.
I want to open up to affiliates now. I'm thinking of doing this thing manually. I have a shopify cart. I want to just get a few really great affiliates. I can provide the keyword stuff and banners and you can set up a copy of my system. I'll grant you access to my dashboard on shopify so you can track sales. I'll also create a variation of the product with your tracking ID so you can see the sales.
That, or create a click bank account... Still I am looking for affiliates now.
What's the best way to go about getting the Super affiliates? I don't want average Joe's who can't even handle a simple task like generating traffic. I could teach them the stuff I did and copy out the system, but I want people who can bring more to the table than just a copy of what I'm already doing.
I'm thinking of paying affiliates a flat rate of $100.00 per sale. I don't know how to go about configuring this since I offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Thoughts?
