It's totally possible to remove a site from a Google Penalty

Backstory: I was inserting ads on my site a few weeks back, and of course they recommended certain settings to help maximize revenue. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, it would also get my site slammed with a google penalty.

The issue it turns out was mobile redirects. The ad site did not include any warning that the setting could cause a penalty from google. So as a word to the wise, if any ads on your site incorporate redirects of any kind, be careful!

Once I was able to filter the issue down to that, and removed them, everything turned out ok.

Thanks for sharing this. It is really important to check and recheck all the ads, links and any traffic coming to your site. And I believe this should not be for adsense only. This should apply to any method one is using in order to monetize the site.
