2 Weeks of Information via Email VS Free Book

I am wondering which one is better to promise on a squeeze page,

Something like 2 weeks of daily emails of content (useful to the readers)

OR

A eBook with useful content

Which one would be better to promise so more people would opt-in..

The best way for you to do is DO A SPLIT TESTING. This way, you will know which works for you and for your niche market. I hope that this helps you...

Test them both, and video tutorials and anything else you think might work.

Ebook for sure. People hate spammy emails. Put your affiliate links in your ebook and let them read it in their own time but still generate commissions for you! All the very best

    Hi markets,

The term 'ebook' can have a low perceived value whereas 'blueprint', 'method', 'case study' are better but, as stated above, test it out and you'll find the winner quickly - normally not what you expect.

Plus, check what offer hooks for advertising and optins your main niche competitors are already using (similarweb.com or mixrank.com) and model those for your starting tests.

Free ebook / or whatever you call it.

Then follow up with email with tips etc to getting the most out of the book.

People want instant gratification these days.

That's not the parameter by which to measure and judge anything.

It doesn't matter whether "more" people opt in. It matters which people opt in. Never imagine that "the biggest list you can build from the traffic" will be the same thing as "the most monetizable list you can build from the traffic". That's rarely the case, and there are reasons for that. Some of them are explained here (and in further links inside this post): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7939758

Please excuse my not answering your direct question. It isn't possible for anyone here to do that: only you can do that, by split-testing. But if/when you do so, don't make the mistake of monitoring the results according to subscriber-numbers, because that parameter doesn't tell you what you need to know.

It is possible that people would read 14 day's of emails in a row, I might think that a different delivery mechanism and a shorter time frame would be two variable worth testing out.

I'd prefer it all in an ebook rather than daily emails, thats just me though, you need to split test to see what works best for your audience

The ebook - especially if you have a picture of the ebook on there also. My experience anyway.

Test both though. People will opt-in to your email form anyway no matter what route you chose. The bigger question is "do you have a solid plan for converting them from *lead* to CUSTOMER"?

OP, the BEST lead magnets are ones which can be consumed INSTANTLY and that your prospect will actually use and get value from right away.

      Think "one problem, one solution".

For this reason, long email courses and even large ebooks are TERRIBLE lead magnets.

If you want to deliver real value that's actually going to get your prospect interested in buying from you, your lead magnet should be something that can be consumed within 5-10 minutes of opting in.

Short videos are killer, as are BRIEF ebooks/reports focused on one single thing.

You're shooting yourself in the foot by trying to over-deliver with lead magnets

    Test them both.

I prefer email courses (typically 7 or 10 days long) becuase it prevents people from grabbing the freebie and unsubscribing, and gives me a longer amount of time to prove my value.

It also gives people the time to actually use the information given to them. I have found that I get way higher engagement rates and more sales (although I do very little promotion in my course) when I split the content up and send one email a day.

What'll be best for you will depend on you and your audience.

I prefer the e-course to the e-book for my lead magnets.
    I usually do a 5-10 day course. I deliver the e-course via
private blogs similar the strategy explained here...

A List Building Strategy that's working extremely well for me

    Excellent post to check out.
