Which blogging software is the best?

Hey guys.. have a question about Wordpress if you don't mind. Are plug-ins just for Wordpress.org, or can you do the same for Wordpress.com? When I see other online marketers referring to Wordpress plug-ins.. is it safe to say they are talking about Wordpress.org? I have just always wondered about that.. just now learning WP.. obviously..lol.

Thank you in advance for your help. I like the autoblog idea.. very cool.

Like everyone else says - use WordPress and you won't regret it. Simple to install, simple to update, simple to customise and simple to use. Has some great plugins to extend functionality - if you cannot find a plugin to do what you need it is relatively simple to get one written for you.

So basically I could just go to the wordpress site and start a blog then add some sort of autoblogging plugin and this will walk me through how to do the actual autoblog? I have no idea where to start with autoblogging I've only done it the old school way.

You can try the free autobloggin plugin WP-o-matic, instead of forking out 59 bucks for autoblogged, at least until you get your feet wet.

Just a suggestion.

Just go to the Wordpress plugin database: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-o-matic/

Your title is a bit misleading

- it should be "Which blogging software is the best for autoblogs"

Obviously I prefer Wordpress - and with the number of additional plugins out there it is really a great community to work within.

get cheap hosting - with cpanel - allows one click install of wordpress
If cash is tight you can get one general type of domain name and set up subdomains for each blog - or in different folders for each blog

RSS feeds on complete autopilot. Install some AdSense ads
and Wualla! You got yourself an automatic traffic generating/money
making blog.

Wordpress by a Country Mile - as they say in these parts. So easy to set up, easy to alter and maintain, edit etc and....Google does appear to like it so why choose anything else really?

You are correct. Wordpress.com is basically just an installation of Wordpress MU (Multi-User) and since they are the admin, only they can decide what plugins are in use. And whatever ones were in use, would be in use for all users, so I can see why they'd want to avoid that scenario.

You're only going to be able to get the benefit of plugins by hosting it yourself. Which you want to do anyway, because WordPress doesn't really like you making money with their free hosted blogs.

That doesn't mean you can still use them for backlinks, I just wouldn't spend too much effort on their real estate - spend some time building your own.

ya know, I'm not convinced about 'auto blogging'. I've tried to make that dog work for several months with several different plugins and ideas. End result in my opinion? Absolute waste of time. Sorry, but I've found that getting original content written for me or by me is 100x's better in the end.

My 2cents, so take it or leave it.

The source of the content doesn't have anything to do with autoblogging, technically. I could take hundreds of articles that you yourself wrote, load them into my autoblogging system, and have them trickle out to potentially hundreds of places all across the web over the course of many months, all back-linked to my main money site. All while I go off and do something else, like make another blog or 12.

Don't slam a method just because you haven't been able to figure it out yourself. Especially if you're talking about content generation and not autoblogging.

Just my 2cents, so take it or leave it.

I use many softwares to promote my site .The best gives me the wordpress because its features is excellent and google give preference to wordpress instead of blogger.The plugin features are also excellent
