Could i, in theory purchase a website already making £1 a day?

Is there a rough non-spoken rule on correlation between price and income generation..

Yes, it's usually about 10-20x monthly income.

Depends a lot how established the site is, traffic numbers, and how the backlink profile looks like.

Of course there is, depending on how much income a website generates, the price goes up. It's only fair, would you sell a website that generates a lot of income for little money?
However,I believe that in some cases, if someone is selling a website that generates monthly income, they do it because they need money NOW. Others sell it because that was their plan all along, but if you can find someone who sells their website because they have to, you might find yourself a good deal.

If you visit marketplaces that sell websites you will notice that there seem to be more sellers than buyers. At the same time, a website that earns consistently in always in demand. The trick is to look for sites that have income potential and may not be earning as much as they can.
