[ANNOUNCEMENT]--PayPal and PayDot Will Be Down September 12th //2am

PayPal has announced that they will have
downtime to upgrade their service on
the following date and time..

Friday, September 12th early morning
between 2AM EST - 3AM EST

With PayPal Down, you can not take PayPal
payments.

Our Web host has moved to a new data center
and we need abut 30 minutes of downtime to
move our severs from Canada to Texas and hit
the switch.

We wanted to do this at a time when PayPal was
down for scheduled maintenance to do ours
as well.

We are mirroring PayPal's downtime so you have
NO LOSS of service due to PayDotCom's upgrade.

Please be aware of the date and time above.

One hour loss is still better because the system will be upgraded. I'm excited to know what will be the upgrade. Are you excited too or not?

I am happy that there are going to be upgrades....but am wondering how
this will adversely affect income....and back office service desk admin

Plan ahead, and don't promote or take orders within that period if you rely on
PayPal for that. No big.

Not to split hairs, but I've never known PayPal to take down their front-end (receiving payments). They do close the back-end at least once a month while they process and archive data, but that, to the best of my knowledge hasn't ever affected sales.

In any event, an hour of downtime shouldn't be a big deal unless you guys are holding back some extraordinary volume of sales you're doing

Hey Mike...

I hope that is the case.

I know last week Paypal had some sort of a glitch which affected sales.
Did not last long but was a headache for a bit.

What do you mean holding back extraordinary sales volumes....I thought we were all making $10k a minute

..that would be something though.
