Question about using PLR for WSO OTOs

Hi,

Can you use a PLR product as an OTO to a WSO?

Suppose you have a WSO that sells a unique product you created. Can you use one or more good quality PLR products as upsells on the backend?

I read and re-read the WSO rules, but could not find clarification on this. Unless I'm missing something.

The OTOs do not appear in the WSO marketplace. Instead, the OTO sales pages are hosted by you elsewhere. So would it be ok to assume that using PLR for OTOs is fine?

Thank you in advance!

John

I think using PLR (as long as you are upfront that it is plr, and don't claim it really is your creation) in the OTO is technically within the rules; however, what makes an OTO convert is the upgraded value proposition.

PLR just doesn't have the same perceived value as an OTO with over-the-shoulder training or case studies or upgraded features. If you were to use PLR and didn't state this clearly, and someone found out, you might get banned.

Being truthful on your salespage, whether hosted by WF or not, is important. Even if you suspect others have been less than truthful, they probably just haven't been caught; and, the damage to your reputation is not worth the risk.

In spite of the tons of newbies around, there are lots of veteran folks here who will smell any BS a mile away. Just my thoughts.

      Hey Jeff,

Thanks for your clarification. Its good to know that PLR can be used for the OTO.

Yeah, I was planning to make that disclosure anyway. It's just good business practice.

      Thanks once again.
