Moving domains from one registrant to another, means losing renewal time and privacy protection?

Let's say there is a domain that is still valid for a few years and has privacy protection that is valid for a few years too. If I move this domain to another registrant, means I'll lose these years, both from the renewal and privacy protection?

Without detailed information of your current host and your proposed host, no one here will be able to give you a correct answer.

To find the answers to your questions, you need to contact your current domain registration company and your proposed registration company. Both of them will supply you with their answer and then you can make your decision whether to move or not.

You'll have to ask your domain registrar. The one you use probably offers their own service. Namecheap offers one called WHOISGuard, and you would most likely lose it if you changed providers.
