How much comission for a 50$ WordPress plugin?

Hi,

I am currently developing a wordpress plugin and setting up my clickbank account to sell it through affiliates. How much comission do you think is realistic/how much would you expect as an affiliate?

Cheers,
Michael

I want all 100% if you don't better describe your product

How much is product "A" worth?
How much can product "A" do?
How large is the target audience for product "A"?
Is the audience in purchasing state-of-mind for Product "A"?

In general affiliates prefer 75% commission on all products they promote. It all depends on the offer though and how much it costs.

It needs to be worth the price and do what it says so that the refund rate is low. Most CB products are spammy and have a high refund rate so you need to make sure that the WP product solves a problem for people. Only then will it make sales and attract affiliates.

Thank you for your answers. You are right, i will give you some details:

      - target audience are internet marketers who run wordpress
      - it is mainly used to plan, schedule and outsource your linkbuilding (linkbuilders can Login to your wp admin panel with limited rights)
      - it has an automated backlink checker implemented
      - another usp is the following: When people visit your blog through a link, the plugin detects the referring site automatically and sends a ping it to services like pingomatic, so searchengines find the backlinking sites quicker

How much % would you want as affiliate per sale?

I'd be happy with 50/60%. Depends on the quality. I earn around that with EG and TF.

I think 50-60% seams to be the norm around Clickbank.. Bumping it to something like 75% might encourage more affiliates to start promoting it, so that may be better early on.

I would say 60% at minimum for wordpress plugin, and yes if you want to bring more affiliate army for marketing your plugin, then you want to pump the commission up to 75%.

Thank you all for your answers.

Is there a way to give certain affiliates different rates and coupons at clickbank?
      My thoughts where the following:

      - Product on my site costs 50$
      - standard affiliates get a certain.percentage
      - Special affiliates get a limited discounts for promoting it during the launch and at beigegeben updates: buy through my Link and you get 10$ off

Is that technically possible with clickbank and what do you think of that?

Describe your product better. Affiliates would analyze and tell you a reasonable commission.

I did, it is the 4th post. I just don't want to post a link to my plugin here to make sure this thread is not treated as spam :-)
