Main Issues You Face Making Money Online?

What are some of the main issues you're facing making money online?

I hear a lot of people (friends and family) talking about how they don't know how to make money online and their various reasons for believing that.

I was just wondering from the members of the Warrior Forum (people who seem to be a bit more immersed in 'trying' to make money online) exactly what prevents you from becoming successful online?

What do you find are your blockages? your setbacks? your hangups?

What is stopping YOU personally from making it BIG online?

[to be honest, I'm interested in your answers because I want to help individuals and the community succeed!]

Until recently, my biggest challenge was finding clients.

Now my biggest challenge is performing for those clients and getting results.

Because with any client work, if you dont get results, you've wasted the client's time and money.

You've also tarnished your own reputation.

But if you do get results, and you can do it consistently, the sky is the limit.

Your reputation grows. Clients start seeking you out, rather than you reaching out to them.

And as your work becomes in higher demand, and your time becomes more valuable, you can raise your rates.

So these next few weeks/months are sink or swim for me. But that's also what makes it so exciting, and so much more fulfilling than any of the jobs I could have had.

    Future challenges I'll have:

    1) Making this business sustainable (regular income, etc)

    2) Developing my first product

    3) Incorporating passive income into my business

    4) Working while traveling

    5) Balancing my work and my life (I work about 10 hours a day with no weekends. I'm sure many of the people on this forum can relate)

    10000% connections

EVERYONE who succeeds in getting RICH online.. not "making a living" but getting to be an authority has HUGE connections who helped them in some BIG way.

    everything else is purely secondary.

is this still an issue for you? ... or ... have you found the light at the end of the tunnel regarding this as an issue?

        Very much an issue.

So far have spent nearly $50k on different ideas over the years that "should" have worked in a wide variety of niches. People I can cite that now have HUGE businesses ONLY because the knew someone to help get them large.

Take those same people and take away their LARGE contacts to help them and they are nowhere right now.

For example try getting ANY product into any large store without knowing someone who has a VERY close relationship with the buyer of that store. Good luck...

Try getting millions of visitors to your ecommerce store or blog without already knowing a big celebrity, PR firm head, news outlet president, or another blogger with huge traffic to help promote your product/offer/blog

I personally even know bigger celebs that couldnt find the hookups in their respective industries for themselves or a friend to get their custom products in stores.

Take it even to the TOP of the world - who is Dr Phil without Oprah? Who is Dr Oz without Oprah? Who is Kim K without her already famous father/mother knowing people to promote that whore in the first place?

When I was starting out, some of my fears include the fear of failure, fear of overspending which clouded my better judgement and I made some bad decisions in my business. For example the fear of overspending would mean one would just go for free traffic and not paid traffic even at the expense of an ineffective marketing campaign in your business and you even knew this.

This is really some very great feedback, thanks guy, ..

What I'm seeing is, a desire but an inability to enact those desires because the roadway seems cloudy and uncertain and the fear of failure stops people from taking actions that might actually be beneficial or the fear of failure makes it easier for people to make the wrong decision because it's cheaper and 'apparently' less risky.

This is getting my wheels turning.

Asking failures why they are failing probably isn't going to provide good answers.

They are failing because they have no skill and are unwilling to work for a year or two or three to develop any. That's really all that it boils down to.

I think that's a cop-out ... if that's really all it 'boiled down to' then I think there would be a lot more successful people out there, because there are lots of people who DO exactly that, .. gain certain skills and work hard at it for 2-3 years with minimal results .. That's been me for a long time... I'm very skilled and have / had been working at it for well over 7-8 years ..

learned EVERYTHING that came out and 'applied' some of it, .. had a lot of the issues that the others in this thread have mentioned.

The approach you're taking is very similar to what rude people say to homeless people .. Go Get A Job Ya'Bum! without realizing there are many factors involved in an individuals success.

You're starting out of the gate calling them failures as if it's a label through-time as if that's what they are, what they have been and what they will be all because they don't have any skills (which is a mind-read at best) and because they don't put in the hard work... which is also quite the assumption.

It sounds like you're either a little bit bitter towards them or this is an issue that plagues you.

I'm just not sure if your summary of failures and failing is accurate ..

        It's accurate.

        Deal with it.

I'd like to see someone who put a few years worth of work into it and still failed. Hanging out on WarriorForum, listening to podcasts and following blogs doesn't count as work. I have a suspicion that many failures spend much more time "working" on that stuff than actual working.

Still doesn't answer the question if this is something YOU personally deal with or something you mind read is happening to other people... regardless, you can assume what you want about other people and fail to comment on what is actually plaguing you.

Very good points about connections. I also believe that a lot of it is about having a vision. If you have a vision of success in something and commit 100% to achieving that vision, then you will find a way to create it. Know exactly WHAT it is you want and exactly WHERE you want to be and COMMIT...and you will find a way.

Why is it that ships 99.999% of the time make it to their destination? They don't have emotions, fears, excuses like us humans. Take these out of the equation and you will make it.

    There's been several actually...

    - Fear of having a lack of credibility or authority
    - Concern my knowledge was lacking or I needed more to complete the learning cycle
    - Perfectionism
    - Family & Friends negative feedback towards the IM world, despite being aware they didn't have a clue the REAL marketing and integral business that takes place online
    - Tech issues... Crappy membership themes or inferior tools or products that promised to function...didn't
    - Sheer frustration, in trying to 'do it all myself'
    - Fear of outsourcing without proper knowledge
    - Inability to organize or structure the mass of info I've obtained
    - Fear of attaining success, having to be in the spot light (computer stage fright, lol)
    - Lack of advertising budget... Believing the 'big dawgs' have huge lists, and can afford video productions, massive media buys, outsourcing, etc...
    - Online writing offers for copy and articles... By random Warriors requesting my services, and fearing I'd let them down
    - My ADHD kicks in, and I can't be inside on a damn computer all day... So I start up small offline gigs
    - Coming to the WF and finding out Allen doesnt own it anymore, and seeing a lot more crap in the threads ( or maybe its just me...dunno)

But, now that that's been said, I am assembling a simple project with a complex sales funnel, because promoting only other people's products has no long term value, as doing so generally builds their list, not mine...and sending my potential buyers to another person for expertise seems a lot like handing my potential clients a menu for another restaurants nightly specials.

Overall, many of the hiccups I've overcome. The biggie now is testing my overall abilities in launching my first product and being prepared for it to sink? or swim?

Honestly, I am perty confident my abilities are solid, just a tad worried if success does come... It's gonna come fast!

As Napoleon Hill states(paraphrasing) ;"when success and money comes...it often comes so quickly, one cannot help but to question where it had been for so long?"

    Good. Quality. Traffic.
You don't even need the best website ( but you should ) I just remember back in to good old days when I started... my landing pages were not that great at all... but it was easy to get QUALITY ppc traffic, and that made me money.
Today it's like 95% of paid traffic is garbage

      Hello David,
Iam pretty good with the creative part of it and the ideas part and the writing part.

But I think sometimes if I try to do some of the Technical stuff I can run into problems. And one small problem trying to get something to work can take a long time to resolve for me on occasion.

By far my BIGGEST issue first starting out was jumping from product to product, training to training, coach to coach...

If I had just stuck with something from the beginning, I would have saved a lot of time and money...
