My first ClickBank Sale - with only 2 articles being published ?! - For Newbies

Briefly, About Myself

It's Aiden here. I have been lurking around in the IM community for a little over 3 years now. It's not that I don't have the knowledge to do what I want. I think the main reason I procrastinated that much, was because I did not stay focus, did not take action, and eventually suffered from the information-overloaded-nausea "illness".

This year alone, I took massive actions and stayed focus on what I wanted to do. I haven't post anything on the forum for a while, just because I am very busy getting my first ever affiliate project done, which means, I am a total newbie, in the affiliate marketing world. I have been pretty comfort doing it using the article marketing method, and today, I am here to say thank you for those who had helped me to make this happened.

Two days ago on the 15th of July, I was in the last phase of my project. I have 1 article got published the day before and I have another one got published on that day.

I Was Happy! First Commission, Ever!

I remember it was 3 hours before I attended the Newbie University's first FREE live webinar organized by a WF forum member, Bryan Zimmerman. I was so excited about that and I could not get in to sleep anymore, it was then 3 a.m at where I am staying! So I tried to check on my articles submitted on EZA. Unfortunately, English is not my first language and I could hardly write decent article with fluent grammar (you can notice that from this post, I guess), and I had 8 articles bounced back and needed to do changes in them. I need someone to proofread that for me.

Out of nothing I tried to refresh my ClickBank homepage. I was shocked and I yelled in happiness! Yes, a $45.73 ClickBank commission has landed on my account! I was only promoting 1 product, it was my first ever sale after several years of procrastination in the IM world!

Look At The Stats, Any Newbies Can Do That Too
(If They Wanted to)!

Let's check out the statistics of the article that brought me the sale.

If you take a look on my ClickBank screen shoot (click on the image far below to enlarge it), you will notice that my ClickBank account was only being created on May, and I have not done any sales up until the 14th of July 2009.

The amazing part was, I have only 2 articles being published. One of them went live on the 14th of July, the other one only got published on the 15th of July. Another unbelievable part was, my pre-sell page was not even being indexed by Google, as I am typing out this post right now.

Now if you take a look at my EzineArticles (EZA) statistic on the screen shoot below (click on the image far below to enlarge it), you will notice that my total article view for those 2 days, were only 43, and I have got 20 clicks. So the click through rate (CTR) was around 46.51% at that moment. Out of those 20 person who clicked, I have got 1 sale! So the conversion rate was 5% at that moment.

Well, I know in the coming days, these statistics are going to drop, but I will continue to write out more articles, since I've already know it works!

Imagine what would the amount of commission be, if I have done enough backlinks and quality linkings and also, if I were to promote few products at this moment? There will be a healthy commission coming in daily, I firmly believe that!

I hope this is going to be a useful post for any newbies that has not yet make a dime in the IM world. If you were like me, not making a dime yet in the IM world, it has likely nothing to do with you. There are just too much information floating around on the internet for you to pick up, and you can easily got distracted by that.

If a person like me, where English is not my first language and I can still strive to make my first bucks on the internet, why can't you do it?

PS. While I was in the last phase of my project, where I wrote articles and submit them to EZA, I stumbled upon a FREE WSO, Bryan Zimmerman's Newbie University, which happens to be a place for newbies to learn the MOST fundamental means of affiliate marketing.

Yes, we did not pay for anything, did not get any up-sales/down-sales, whatever it is, and it's truly a 'niche place' for newbies.

Don't get me wrong, I like Warrior Forum, I get to learn so many things in here, but if you have been doing IM for a little while, you would have known the word 'niche'. WF is like a general IM forum, very huge and if you are not disciplined enough, you could easily got distracted, whereas Newbie University is a 'niche' forum for newbies. You don't get distracted that easily, and you could learn how to set your foot back on the right track within a short period of time - Just because it's easy and simple enough for every newbies to learn things in there.

Furthermore, in the Newbie University, I get to know more about some facts regarding Cost Per Action (CPA) business, where I thought I need to have a lot of upfront money for PPC ads and that is the only way to succeed, and I was wrong! There are free ways and methods to do that, best part being, they are whitehat methods.

Also, I got a lot of PM from the members in Newbie University, offering to help me proofread my articles (for free) which was being rejected by EZA. I didn't know that those newbies were that helpful and they don't look "new" at all to me.

PS. #2 I wanted to thank a few person which they have greatly helped me to speed up my learning curve. Some of them gave me inspirational thoughts, some of them had offered their course for free, and some of them were selling powerful & straight forward information for a very affordable price, through the WSO. Most of these people in here, were able to give instructions in layman's term. That is why I like them so much.

Actually, if I do have the money, whatever Jack is selling, I will buy. Jack is a "track it down to earth" guy. Whatever he says, will be backed up by tons of analytical results. You can't find any excuses not to believe in what he says. But sometimes, Jack, your FREE stuff are outdoing your paid stuff by 100 yards!

JJOrana (Jon) - I have not seen anything like this yet. How about the powerful 'manual keyword research' that Jon teaches you about? It's going to open up your eyes! It was a $7 WSO, but it's now closed, and back to the normal price.

yesacpow (Casey Gentles) - Without reading Casey's FREE Step-by-step Article Marketing guide, I don't think I can make this $45.73 ClickBank commission that soon. You know, Casey, your guide has been accountable for a large percentage of my first ClickBank sale!

I will pump my backlinks and all in a few day's time. I will keep track on my stuff, and hopefully I can show others how I made it, and how they can make it too.

The BETTER news is that this model is really the only one you need. You articles are like money in the bank and the signups/sales you receive are the interest payments. Set up your articles so that they get long term views (exposure) and you will be thanking yourself many MANY times!

I guess you hire a writer since English is not you first language. I write most of my articles by myself ( none English person too) but it is always better outsourcing since you can get a good writer for 4 dollars.
