Does adblock stop your opt-in form from showing?

I have a dilemma: I have just noticed adblock has suddenly stopped adblock users from viewing my opt-in forms. I have never noticed this before, so maybe it's new...

Is it just me? Has it always been like this?

I'm with GetResponse.

You might just need to change the type of form you're using. If it's a pop over or light box try embedded and see if you still have the same problem.

If that's not the case there are many people out there that are just as frustrated as you and with a little research you'll be able to find some java code you can add to your site to essentially block the ad block.

Yes! Everything was fine this morning and then this afternoon my adblock lists (I use uBlock) must have updated and the form on my website stopped displaying. I'm hoping they just made a mistake in the blocking list and will correct it in the next update.

I spoke with getresponse chat help, but they were no help. Of course, it's not really their issue, but I asked if they were getting other reports about this issue.

If you hear anything please post back here and I will do the same.

Use the HTML version of the form - it works fine for me.

Sometimes adblock picks up certain text/phrases/keywords like "AdWords", "Banner" "Teaser" etc which prevents the content being shown. I recently got rid of it for this reason. Real problem in some marketplaces..

I noticed the same thing this morning. One of my pages with a GetResponse opt-in form was not showing my opt-in form. As soon as I disabled my Adblock, sure enough the form displayed properly once again. Does not seem to be occurring with Aweber forms, only GetResponse.

Switching to the HTML version of the web form does indeed correct the issue.
