I have decided to wet my fingers in the video promotion world, fancied a new angle to my marketing. I have just uploaded my first video to my site and i would like some honest reviews before i advertise it to the world. I intend to make 1 video a month and submit to a number of top video sites. Please review and give me your thoughts below: Click To View My First Attempt Thanks and best wishesGavin McDonald |

This video doesn't make me want to visit Listquad. It is not painful enough. For example, first couple of seconds, you are asking if the person is strugling with list building, but the picture shows a girl smiling at a laptop - doesn't makes sense. Igor |

I think it looks good, but it screams advertisement. If you aren't going to do a screen capture with audio or a personal video with you, then I'd advise you look at this as more of a presentation. Offer more information and if you do use one-liners, make them useful - not just there to fill space. Reduce the amount of images. Also, don't forget to use those link boxes youtube allows you to overlay your videos with. Hope that helps! |

I think the smiley pictures and the soft, jazzy music are a huge contrast to the "You have a major problem, I have the solution" message an opt-in might better portray. I think a voice-over might be preferable to this soft background "muzack".

The music was awful! I'd expect to hear that in a lift somewhere! The graphics were totally inappropriate - everybody smiling while looking at a monitor or laptop screen. Pain might be good but 'glum' would help. Your message simply did not get across to me because I was initially confused by 'opt in list marketer' - I was looking for the 'new' opportunity to sell opt in lists. Fade-in and fade-out of your verbal lines simply added to the general impression that 'here is some wall paper'. The quality was good so you just have to work out what you are trying to do - drive a message home or simply produce pleasant videos to bore people off your page. |

You might not like what I say - but I believe it. Build it, make money, then build some more Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

Hated the music! I was expecting a voice over. I don't like to "read" my videos, I prefer to "watch & listen" to them.

I agree with all comments so far (especially the one by the brutally honest artwebster's ), but I must add that the video does look professional. The music is awesome (unless of course you aren't planning to have the ad run on a monitor inside of a hotel elevator ).You might consider using something else than YouTube. As soon as your video was over I clicked on it to check your YouTube channel and found many other interesting videos on Opt-in under "Related Videos". You might lose some (if not - many) potential customers this way. Perhaps paying for having your videos posted somewhere else than YouTube might be a good idea. I can tell you will make awesome videos in the future. |

The video is well done in the technical sense but you need to be more persuasive. I was expecting something more personal. Maybe your voice, your picture or you actually talking to a camera. Remember that in video marketing some of the same principles of good copywriting/salesmanship still apply. Tyrus |
