Would you allow your newsletter to be syndicated ?

I expect the answer to be no but I am curious.

How would you respond if some person was using your email's to auto fill a blog ?

Would you protest or be upset by this or would you be pleased that your content was being spread around.

    Gareth, I can't give you a blanket answer to that question.

    Wait a minute...yes I can!

    It depends.

    If the blog is on topic, relatively clean (design-wise) and keeps my links and attribution, I'm fine with them using a public newsletter.

    If they're doing a raw scrape, stripping out the links and packing in ads (especially on the "bad" stuff), we have a problem and their host will get a CDMA very quickly.

    If the newsletter is private, subscriber-only, and they're using it as you describe, there's a big problem...
