Been away for too long. What are course launching best practices now?

I turned my back to Internet marketing for a while because I had some health troubles in the last years. In the last couple of weeks I have built a new course with an expert in a promising niche and we are getting ready to launch.

I remember the basics from Product Launch Formula from back in the days. Do those principles still apply?

We have a targeted email list of 13.000 subscribers who enjoy listening to my expert. The idea is now to drop them one email and let them know the course is coming on day XX with a short overview of what to expect.

Then on day XX we will have a longer video sales page with text beneath it with the full offer.

Any suggestions what we could do differently? In the long run we want to keep a steady flow on new people through attractive affiliate conditions that we offer for this course.

Sorry for dropping in like this. Im still recovering from my health issues but need to get this going now to cover some of the medical bills that have been piling up thats why I took this project on.

Yes we will do Clickbank as well but we also have our own affiliate system we are going to use.

How do courses bring in money these days that are only open for limited amount of days every few months? Is this still viable?

Definitely still viable - they crop up all the time.

Usually launched with the help of affiliates on platforms like JVZoo and Warrior Plus but that's chicken-and-egg: you're unlikely to get the heavy hitters if you're relatively unknown.

Quickest way to learn is probably to get yourself on as many IM lists as possible and read/follow the messages with your wallet safely locked away!

Thanks, yes I know all the stuff from like 3-4 years ago. Just wanted to make sure things are still like they have been and I dont miss some huge thing.

But from what I gather and read now things are still the same considering we talk about traditional marketing. So a video sales page / long form sales letter and such is still the way to go.
