CLICKS or CONVERSIONS

Hi All,
I noticed that so many folks keep emphasizing on clicks and clicks, and only few mention conversion, I am talking in relation to PPC, Solo Ads and the likes.

This brought up a question in my mind, which should you be mostly concerned with; Your Clicks or Your Conversions?

I don't care what form of traffic it is I am always more concerned with conversions, because that is the measure of how targeted your leads are.

Any one can click on a offer. That does me no good at all

When it comes down to it Conversions is what matters.
You can run a PPC campaign and have ALL the clicks in the World but if you are not getting any Sign Ups it was all for nothing.

    Ditto...

    Conversions are where it's at.

You can get all the clicks you want (cheap, too!)

Conversions take a little bit more work...

Conversions are more important than clicks. Clicks cost money. Conversions create revenue. But this is sort of a faulty question because you can't have conversions without clicks. I think the better question to ask is what is the most important Internet Marketing Metric. In my opinion the most important metric is Earnings per click (EPC).

This is a ratio that expresses the efficiency of the relationship between your clicks and the revenue earned from your conversions.

When you are not directly getting a revenue value from a conversion, like when you are doing email list building then you'll have to determine an Earnings Per Subscriber value that is based on a longer discretionary time period.

    Hope that helps.

100% conversions are more important. You could have a blog in the IM niche and get 3 million clicks from people interested in dog training. You aren't going to make much money from them. Whereas 20 visitors who desperately want exactly what you are offering will make you more money.

Conversions don't matter. Clicks don't matter. What matters is ROI. Are you making money or not? If you are, scale up. If you're not, look for something else. Very simple, yet most people forget this.

    I think conversions.

However, we have to keep in mind that while a click is immediate, conversion sometimes is not. For example, they are only convinced enough to buy or take the next step after going through an email series.

It's not a question of what's better lol, clicks and conversion are both important metrics.

Look at it like that => You can't get conversions without clicks right? but you can get clicks without conversions.

So, if you can get a lot of clicks but no conversion this means you have something wrong which you need to improve, maybe the pricing or the offer is not good, or your target customers... And how you come up with this info? by a lot of clicks without enough conversion.

Never isolate your metrics, always see the big picture when analyzing.

The people that are only talking about the clicks are usually the solo ad sellers, because that's how they make their money.

The people buying clicks should only be interested in conversions, nothing else.

It's all about conversions. At the end of the day, if you want clicks, sign up to a traffic exchange. If you want GOOD conversions, target your market well and find places where you can reach them directly. This may come in the form of PPC, similar-topic websites in your niche, forums, blogs, etc. And in some cases, solo ads. Stay on top of your conversion rate, but more importantly, stay on top of how profitable the campaign is.
