Try going to somewhere like feedraider "We Eat Internets" | Tools For The Information Hungry | feedraider and adding your site manually. Then go to the other sites you mentioned and add the feed you got from FeedRaider as well as your main site feed. This will give you double the promotional power and a backlink to your original feed. As you update content on your ezine articles site, it will automatically be updated on your feed, plus the feedraider feed. You don't need to submit your feeds each time you write an article, they automatically update each time you add new content. Personally, I submit my feeds twice to each site, about a week or two apart to make sure they have been picked up. After that, you are pretty much right to get started but there is lots more you can do as well. Hope that helps. Cheers Brad |

Find your expert author page where you see all your articles listed. Look for the RSS icon next to the header near your name and your author status. Find the url which the icon is pointing to. Take the RSS url and submit it to the free RSS directories There is a list of them on this site 55 Active RSS Directories to Help Promote Your RSS Feeds! There is also paid software called RSS Submit that submits to more RSS directories. The submission is usually done once but you can ping your feed url using sites like pingomatic when you add more articles. Kevin. |

Really appreciate your help guys. So I will submit RSS url from ezine just once to directories as you mentioned (or could twice just to make sure) Each time an articles is approved I will ping the RSS url from ezine, hope I have got this right. okay I think I should be able to do this but I just need to ask a couple more things: 1. Why do you Submit your RSS feed, is it to give a backlink to your articles, so if you submitted RSS url to 20 directories for example would that produce 20 backlinks to an article? 2. I just asked in another thread if you should ping an article so I guess pinging your RSS each time you add another article is the same result as pining an individual article url? 3. I guess this gives some more power to your articles and you can still carry out other backlinking techniques to your articles in addition to this one. Thanks in advance if you can help again. The submission is usually done once but you can ping your feed url using sites like pingomatic when you add more articles. |

Yes you have it right. 1. Yes for backlinks and also for cases of content syndication. 2. Yes. Pinging the feed brings the SE spiders to the content of the feed, which will consist of new and older articles. 3. Yes. | |

Moneyland, You should also consider sending your RSS feed into Feedburner, Feedblitz or Aweber. They can take your feed and automatically convert it into email newsletter format. That allows you to offer your site visitors/readers the ability to subscribe to your new articles by email in addition to RSS. Great tools for expanding your distribution. |

Most Web 2.0 properties has RSS. Including wordpress and blogger and many others. Instead of saying thank you to the people who give you advice, you should hit the "Thanks" button down to the right. It looks good on their profile forever :-) |
