|  Physical Textbook Into Digital Text?
Hi Warriors, I am trying to do some research for a friend. He has the rights to a textbook, but needs the text on the pages to be transferred into digital form into MS Word format. Are there any (cheap) services out there that will do that? I suppose it would be OK to tear the book up to scan 1 page in at a time if there was some software that transformed the pages into text... Thanks for your help! |

Hey, Justin - Some good OCR software and a scanner might do the trick if you're ready to tear the book apart page by page. I also know that Yanik has some service he uses in his PD projects, but I forget the name. If you know Yanik, email him. Chip Tarver |

Hi Chip, Great thanks so much for the info... My friend wants to outsource this one so I'm trying to dig up the info so someone else can tear the book apart if need be. I will try to contact Yaniks helpdesk for that info. Does anyone else have any services that they know of or has used for this? |

We can offer you data enter service. Have plenty of good data enter guys here in Pakistan however, the problem would be for you to send the boook from wherever you are to here .... plus tell me how much are you willing to spend for it ... Or you can always get it scanned but most of the time its a difficult task and leaves alot of errors too ....... |
