Membership website advice.

If you are using WP, S2Member is a viable option. It has a free version that you can test out first and then if you like it, you can upgrade. The free version has most features that are needed for most membership sites but only processes through PayPal. Upgrading gets you more payment options.

One advantage they have is that they frequently update the software but there are no ongoing fees for updates like some of the competitors. I've often wondered, though, how long they can keep that up.

There is another option which isn't mentioned here, but because it would be deemed self promotion if I named it, I have to keep it a secret....BUT the answer is right in front of your eyes if you focus properly

I was just looking at the impressive feature list a day or so and plan to look into it farther for an upcoming site I've thought about NOT using WP on for various reasons. I've heard a lot of good things on this software in the past but then kind of forgot about it. You can check out the features here: The Best Membership Script

And Robert is a veteran marketer that knows what he's doing - whether you use his script or not.

if you are asking about technical things, I say Instamember and instatheme are pretty damn powerful, as well as easy to us. It has all the features you can think of.

So my suggestion is to go with Instamember!!

Don't know about Robert Puddy's script though..

My opinion is the best membership site software for features and customization is the site you are on now. Not many people think about utilizing forum software for membership sites but in my opinion nothing can compare. I have been using the same software as the warriorforum since 2007 as an exclusive membership site and it has the most options out of any. I have created tons of customizations though that are not cheap.
