A Direct Linking Question

I know I will be lectured about the the ills of direct linking but I presently dont have the privilege of having a landing page.

I am about to set up a campaign and will like to have an idea about the conversion rate. Its strictly directly linking and its the weight loss niche.

It will be a relatively unsophistacted campaign consisting of a banner ad on a beauty website. I would have preferred marketing a beauty product heavily related to the niche but I am short of funds for a banner ad design.

How good does weight loss convert? This is my first time promoting this specific niche

    Weight loss is a big market, with lots of competition. Try and find a sub niche within the market. How are you going to get traffic?Look for a keyword that is good search but low competition. Use the free google keyword planner

    By direct linking? Barely at all, usually. For all the reasons that underlie the fundamentals of affiliate marketing, and what determines "why people buy".

    Well ... sorry about that; but do you really want people who are actually making their livings from this to be honest with you, and encourage you to understand the reality of making any money from this? Or to collude with you and say "Yes, yes, you can do it that way, too" and then come back later and sympathise more and tell you that you've been "terribly unlucky for years"? I'm not trying to be impolite to you, but you've been in the Warrior Forum for longer than I have, and yet you're still posting about promoting a weight-loss product by direct-linking??? Do you think it might be time for a new approach?
