With video marketing, do you need multiple channels or just one?

I know video marketing is probably the best way to promote yourself for branding and I was wondering if it's better to have for example, multiple channels on say Youtube, each one carry a different theme or bunch all those themes onto the same unique channel?

For video marketing experts, what worked and didn't work for you?
