questions about selling dvds vs hosted video content to save shipping

so my pops produced this foreign short film called "MOST" back in 2003 and it was actually nominated for an academy award.. anyhow he actually sold a bit over 500,000 units over about 5 years to people online as well as to churches who wanted to purchase licenses to show their congregation.. eventually we created affiliates out of the churches who would show the movie and then sell copies as a way to witness.. it went quite well. the churches made money and the investors got paid back..

lately i have become enamored with the idea of making money online. so far its been only an idea and i hope that this thread gets me started in the right direction.. what a radical community this is!

so basically i was over at my dads house visiting and hes got about half a palate of dvds left.. i figured since i have the units why not try and sell them.. easter was always huge when he sold them in previous years..

i was thinking about sending them to a fulfillment center or something like amazon and i became curious about ways to deliver video content online.. hopefully i can find a way to save the shipping and just have them download the video..

i have a large database of emails but our old merchant processing company and website / sales / landing page is no longer up.. here is a copy of the trailer on youtube..

let me know how you guys would approach selling this thing.. we used to sell em for 9.97 but if we could cut the shipping down by making it downloadable we could up the profits.. i am working on creating an affiliate offer for this as well..

some more "MOST" the movie hollywood type info:

thanks everyone for your time and consideration
