There isn't a way of knowing.

Such information isn't collated or published anywhere.

Anyone can become a "vendor" just by selling something from a web-page. Who can possibly tell how many there are?

And even some of the information that is measurable, though not published, (such as, for example, the number of people registered as affiliates in places like ClickBank and Amazon), doesn't really signify anything, anyway, because the overwhelming majority of them hardly ever make a sale at all. So it's all very arbitrary and debatable whether or not you'd count them as "affiliates" anyway?

It isn't even easy to define the terms unambiguously, either: do you include CPA marketers as "affiliates" (some say "yes", I know, and I can see the logic in that, but many others say "no")?

It all depends on what's being sold in a specific niche. From my experience, there are always going to be more affiliates due to the ease of making money. You don't have to create a product, host it, write a killer sales page, get high quality graphics, find affiliates, get a JV and get testimonials for the product. Affiliates can simply promote the product on their email list, on their blog post or purchase media ads.

    I see it this way:

If you have, let's say, 100 products on Clickbank for a specific niche, you can bet that there are 1000's of affiliates trying to promote these products.

I do not understand the reason for such a question, but my guess is that there must be
more affiliates than vendors, because you will always have numerous affiliates promoting
products especially if it is profitable or in a hot niche.

It's just so interesting how this thing works! Maybe to you it's just old news, something that you knew for many years. But to many people the whole vendor-aff relationship thing is new. I am still like WOW THIS SET UP IS SO COOL!
