Not sure how many people use Aweber's Single-Optin... but for some odd reason it's asking for "confirm" emails even when I have double opt-in disabled. Is this a mere glitch or has Aweber decided to place this crap on certain accounts? Curious what's happened with you folks... - Steve |

At the risk of asking the obvious... have you contacted support? (I use double myself)

Infact, here is a cool little tip for you. I use aWeber double opt-in (better deliverability), but then anyone that doesn't double opt-in, I export, then import into iContact. That way I get the best of both worlds... better deliverability of double optin, but I don't miss out for any of the gumbies that forget to click the link.

I had that issue a long while back. You know some people are clueless about how to unsubscribe...they seem to think that if they click the Spam button when they get emails they no longer want, that the emails will stop. If your spam complaints exceed a certain percentage (I forget what it is) Aweber can choose to require that all future lists are double opt-in. At the time I opted to open a new account, but I now use double opt ins all the time anyway. Robyn |

I recently doubled checked this with their support. The answer they gave me was to catch people that get in a loop by bounce backs. They suggested I change the first message but to leave the option confirming optin. Rich | |
