Hi

You've probably seen this around - where you enter your twitter details and retweet a message to get access to a download, plus automatically get added to following the person offering this.

I'm looking for this kind of script. Any suggestions..paid is ok, free is better...

      does anyone know how to tweak this application so it records the affiliate link of the person who retweets this message that automatically gets shortened?

      Here's what I'm looking to do.

      Person retweets video on my site after they have loaded their affiliate link through either Paydotcom AND or Clickbank.

      The rewteeter gets added to my getresponse opt-in that contains the free report video.

      The twitter visitor visits my page... and obviously if they purchase, the initial retweeter gets credited the referral. Otherwise if the address bar is just a normal link (no affiliate link) that link is sent instead.

    ikontent, be careful of any scripts that ask for your Twitter password.

    (a) Many visitors may be security conscious, and not want to give out their password, lowering the viral impact. (In viral marketing terms, this is called FRICTION).

    (b) These kinds of scripts make the whole Twitter world less secure. Just think... all it takes is scammers to put up sites that appear to be using these scripts (but in reality, all they do is capture their visitor's Twitter passwords). It's a scammer's paradise.

    What do banks tell you about PIN numbers?

    Even if a site tells you they don't store your password, quite frankly you have NO IDEA what they do with it. You have to rely on them telling the truth. Scammers tend to not do that, if you know what I mean.

    If you absolutely insist on using a script that needs to gain access to the visitor's Twitter account, make sure it uses OAuth, which is Twitter's own authentication system.

    I authored a wordpress plugin version. I use it and I support it. At first it asked for a password, but personally, I agree with the above comment about friction.

    It has two modes - retweet for a treat, or paste in your autoresponder form to do a popup squeeze. You can set it to pop a settable number of seconds after page-load or do an exit pop. Features a full options admin panel.

    The Viral Tweet script if you google it up you can find it is a pretty nice script I must say have used it before and it was pretty sweet.
