You just answered to your question.

I'm using goDaddy, but Namecheap it's also very popular and trusted.

I'm flummoxed. You are advertising coaching - running WSO and Classified ads here - and you are asking where to register a domain? Odd question.

Don't be so flummoxed. The point of this thread (like so many on the WF forum) has nothing to do with the question being asked, but everything to do with trying to use the signature feature as free advertising.

Actually, when it comes to sig whoring, this thread is rather clever: The OP asks a question that pretty much all newbies will face at some point. It's also very open-ended and answering it doesn't require a long answer, much thought or any real knowledge (it's kinda like asking "What's the best brand of bottled water?") so anybody can answer it. And the thing is it's likely that plenty of people will respond -- from people genuinely trying to be helpful to the multitude of other people who will just put a one line response to get their signatures out there. So overall, kudos to the OP for great execution on this particularly useless thread.

Unfortunately most newbies won't see the irony in someone who's supposedly some sort of expert on IM not knowing something so basic about setting up a website. (That is unless someone like you points it out to them... )

But anyway, to stay on topic, I'll answer the question: it doesn't matter at all who your registrar is -- just don't have it be the same company as the one that hosts your website. (See? Short answer, little thought, and I just bumped this thread again.)

P.S. I'm sure you knew all that, but it doesn't hurt to have it explained for the newbies who may be drawn into this thread, does it?

I have been using Namecheap for many years with no problems. They usually have a coupon if you do a search.

I am sorry for you ,it's just your opinion unfortunately not the truth.
It's your choice and you are free to take my thread as negatively as you want I can't control.

        Thanks

I started out at Godaddy, but switched to Namecheap and never looked back.

They are both good, but i like the easy user experience at Namecheap.

Both Godaddy & namecheap is good. Most of the people are using the Godaddy. Even I have been using the godaddy for a long time. Thanks for your asking.

Which, of course, WAS the point of my answer

Some of the newbies posting recently need to learn to separate questions from "hooks". It's a gullibility factor....

I have used several domain name registrars like NameCheap.com, Godaddy.com, Dynadot.com, Name.com. Those are all cheap and reliable domain registrars. By using coupons you can register a domain or two for about $1 or $2 at Godaddy. That's why I love them as a domain registrar.

Godaddy is one of the top level domain seller in the world. I have been using the Godaddy for a long time. Beside the Godaddy, I have used the Namecheap. It is also good site. Both of their service is also good. You should check both of these sites rate before buying a domain. I think you will get the reasonable rate by this two site. Thanks for your advance.

    internetbs.net is #1

Your domains are held by a company in the Bahamas and so the asset protection you get is superior to having your domain registered with some ridiculous domain name seller located in the land that used to be free.

namecheap.com is also good if you really want a domain seller in the land that used to be free.
