Can't integrate AdSense to Blogger blog

I'm having trouble integrating AdSense to my Blogger blog.

When I visit google.com/adsense, I keep getting this message:

If your application was not accepted due to issues with your website, please make sure that you have resolved them before resubmitting.

It then lists Google Adsense Ts & Cs and asks for contact information.

And Google sent me this email:

As mentioned in our welcome email, we conduct a second review of your AdSense application once AdSense code is placed on your site(s). As a result of this review, we have disapproved your account for the following violation(s):

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below

Site does not comply with Google policies: We're unable to approve your AdSense application at this time because your site does not comply with the Google AdSense program policies or adhere to the Webmaster Quality guidelines. It's our goal to provide our advertisers sites that offer rich and meaningful content, receive organic traffic, and allow us to serve well-targeted ads to users. We believe that currently your site does not fulfill this criteria.

Here are some recommendations to help you improve the user experience on your site and comply with AdSense criteria:

It's important for sites displaying Google ads to offer significant value to the user. As a publisher, you must provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
Don't place ads on auto-generated pages or pages with little to no original content.
Your site should also provide a good user experience through clear navigation and organization. Users should be able to easily click through your pages and find the information they're seeking.

So what is going on here? Why might they be denying me? Is it that I didn't include include Adsense code within the HTML before my last submission? Note that this is a Blogger blog.

Thanks in advance.

    Usually its because of content.

How much content do you have ? Is it unique content ? How long is the content ?
Do you have the aboout us page, contact page, privacy page ?

What niche are you trying to use as there are some which are no longer being accepted.(reciepies for example).

perhaps you can PM me your blog and I can check it out and give you a better answer.

Also sounds to me like it's content related. That, or you don't have proper navigation on your website. Check the following:

    1) Make sure you have no duplicate or copied content
    2) Make sure you have a navigation menu on on every page
    3) Make sure your pages have a good amount of content on them (all posts/pages should have at least 200 words)..include images in some as well. Adsense doesn't like when posts only have 40-50 words.

How can we help you without looking at your website?

The fact that it's a Blogger blog has no relation to you being banned. Blogger blogs are a product of Google and are accepted all the time.

If you were just using a standard template, then it probably is a content quality issue.

I think it's pretty clear why you were denied...just read that final bold paragraph you posted and fix the content and the navigational issues. Either it's not readable, it's not quality or it's not unique, and all three things are reasons to get you banned.

To fix this, write original content, delete the spammy stuff and submit again.

Have you place your adsense code in pages or posts which have thin or little content? If yes, than this will be the reason of the declination of your application in second stage. Jus place your code where you have much of content.

Where is it that I can find and grab that code? Where do I place it? Do you have to do that even if it's a Blogger blog?

    1) I guess you got disapproved because your blog is "too young". Most often, you'd need your blog to be aged for at least 6 months to get approved for adsense (based on my experience).

    2) You were supposed to put the "Adsense code" in your blog to "claim ownership" of it. You should have got it via email. Since you did not put in the the blog that you applied for, then they'll think you dont own it.

    3) You can re-apply after 6 months to 12 months from disapproval.

    Good luck.

      Thanks.

I've actually had it up and running since July or August, so it's been more than 6 months.

I still haven't figured out where it is that you can obtain the Adsense Code. If it's via the Dashboard on google.com/adsense, that would explain it. I am unable to access the Dashboard as we speak because they're in the process of reviewing my submission.

Good news -- I got an email from Google saying the first review was successful and that now I will have to create an ad unit and place the ad code on the blog.

Any tips as far as this step of the process?

      Nice.

Put an ad in the bottom of your post, sidebar, or a leaderboard at the top. Don't spam. Just put 1-2 per page - maybe just 1 if your content is short and the page isn't very long.

You just want to show them you aren't enticing your visitors for clicks and plastering ads all over the top of the page.

  • I'm not sure why you would do that. Let say you obey every little fine print they order you, and you spend time building it they can next year steal it from you by giving new thing you didn't do and go retroactive and take it. That's what they do! And maybe you are lucky it will not happen to you but it happens to thousands! My advice build on your own site!

What are you even talking about? He's going through an approval process.

He can build his own site in the future after he's been approved.

Can/should I set up the ad unit via Blogger or should I go to google.com/adsense, create the ad unit, and grab the code from there to insert in my blog's HTML? What would be easier? I just want to make sure I don't screw anything up going forward.
