voice over for a video sale letter

Hi there,

Recently I have ask in the forum if it is better to have a native US speaker for my Video Sale Letter or if it was ok to use my "french" accent...

I came to the conclusion that accent are hard to understand sometimes and that you want your customer to focus on the message and not spending time guessing what you are trying to say.

I looked for some voices and have one to suggest but I need your "US" opinion: what do you think of her? imagine that she will talk about the benefits of pregnancy Yoga Videos.

    I would have no problem using her voice for a project....

    BTW: Most of us think we sound like crap when we hear ourselves speak, why don't you make a short recording of yourself doing a voiceover, post it on soundcloud or similar and ask people for their opinion.

      I agree. You might be surprised how others react to your own voice.

      I personally don't think my own voice sounds all that great when I hear it. But, I put out a few videos earlier today and most of the feedback I got was how my voice sounded nice and calm. Go figure!

      Post a quick vid with your voice as the voiceover and see what we think. You might just be surprised.

    I think the voice in this video is quite suitable for English speaking markets. It seems to have a blend of American and Brittish tone. Very clear and easy to understand.

    I could easily understand the speaker, and I liked her tone of voice.

    I would suggest she slow down a bit to make her easier to understand...
