A variety of marketing questions - CPA, SEO, International, etc.

I sell a niche product that is a consumable refill for a certain type of equipment. The demand is International in scope. For the foreseeable future, I am targeting every English speaking country but eventually the site will be localized for other languages.

The site also has equipment reviews for SEO and to provide an extra level of credibility to customers.

I'd like to get opinions on how to optimize marketing. Please feel free to weigh-in on one or more of my questions.

Cost Per Acquisition (per sale) advertising - I can afford pretty much an unlimited amount of these kinds of ads. Can anyone recommend reputable ad networks?

How do I best hire a person/company for SEO? - I'd like to hire someone that will perform ongoing SEO. The initial budget isn't large, but will grow over time.

Do links from sites that promote free shipping (our US shipping is free, international is $2) have SEO value?

Do links from coupon sites have SEO value?

Squidoo - Fiverr has several gigs to create Squidoo lenses. Is Squidoo worthwhile? Should building Squidoo lenses be an ongoing effort, or am I good to go after a few?

Press releases - Are press releases still worthwhile? Theoretically, duplicate content should hurt SEO. Is there something that I'm not getting?

The site is geolocated and optimized for local speed through Cloudflare. For English speaking locations, are there any specific country related SEO efforts that I should make?

The site is responsive for mobile. Accordingly, all menus are drop-downs. Someone suggested to me that there should also be siloed menus for SEO, which does not work for mobile. I'd love to get opinion on this topic.

    Steve,

As the rules state, it's always best to ask one question per thread. When members see multiple questions that could take a long time to answer, they are put off. It also makes searching for specific questions much easier.

So, I'll try to answer your press release question.

Yes, press releases are still worth while if they are done correctly and if you use a service that is proven to be able to distribute effectively. PRNewswire and PRWeb are the two I have experience with.

Your release can not be a disguised ad for your product, web site, or service. The editors that see such things will not print them. Your release needs to be news-worthy and it should be tied to some other current event that is hot on people's minds.

Press releases are not seen as duplicate content. Duplicate content refers to the same content on a particular web site. If that were not the case, every news story would be published just one time.

What matters is that your content in the PR be original, well written, informative, and seen as great value.

Most folks don't know how to write a release that is what editors want to see. Think about hiring an experienced PR writer to help you - most PR services offer that extra assistance and it will be worth it over the long haul.

    The very best to you,

    Steve

Sorry, I didn't realize that. I did consider breaking up the posts, but I felt that would be too much like spamming the forum. Hopefully most people notice that I said "Please feel free to weigh-in on one or more of my questions."
