Hi Folks I am getting ready to launch a product on clickbank and was about to use www dot myinternetmarketinglibrary dot com now I was thinking is this name too long? - it's good for description but was thinking something shorter may be better - like www.myiml.com just wanting to get things at the best before proceeding any suggestions from an affiliates point of view will be appreciated Thanks in advance Danny |

Hi Danny, A lot of it depneds on HOW you plan on driving traffic to your site. The shorter URL may be easier to remember, but the longer one consists of actual words. If you plan on using articles and having people click on your link, then it doesn't matter all that much as they won't have to rely on their memory to get to your page. As an affiliate, it wouldn't matter that much to me either way. Again, that's because of the way I promote affiliate products. For example, if someone is using the ClickBank link builder, then whatever URL you choose will be converted to a ClickBank link anyway. On the other hand, you could try both and see which one works better for each traffic strategy you use. All the best, Michael |

It's good to stay within 3 words but if that's not possible 4 words but relevant to the product that you're selling is all right. In fact, the domain is not an important issue at all for the general affiliates as long as it's not a subdomain (www.mywebsite.com/product). And for more experience affiliate, it's totally negligible. |

Certainly not a good idea to use long URL if you r using PPC. If not, I don't think it really matters.

I think people care short URL's than long URL's. ISN'T IT?
