Google "worst failure ever." Im pretty sure this is a result of a Google bomb. With some search engine knowledge you can brainwash the world using Google, lol.

    I thought they fixed that. Guess not because it still happens. I'm sure its not as easy as it used to be but savvy SEO guys can make it happen.

      I thought this would be a post about the biggest failures of the dot com era.

      I can think of a few:

      WebVan
      pets.com
      GovWorks.com

      free ISPs. One of the few to survive was NetZero.

      Their "fix" is to manually remove Google bombs. They don't have a way to do that automatically. It's very difficult to distinguish between a legit link and a link belonging to a Google Bomb. It's all about intention and search spiders can't understand that.

    Part of the problem is that there is little competition for that phrase so it's easy to get ranked high for it.

    I did an experiment and got myself the #1 position on Google for: Biggest Absolute Failure
