How many of you actually make the money you promote

One thing that turns me off big time is seeing some marketers pushing a product that claims will make them 10k by the end of the week.

the biggest beef was when I was seeing a ridiculous amount of twitter products claiming big followers and the pushers only had a few hundred at most.

I'm still getting used to IM as a means to learn to how to better market myself and my company. I'm also creating an education e-book/course so learning some of the things here are beneficial to me.

I see so many pics of the pushers (I call them pushers, excuse me if that offends you as I know they're 'marketers') where it's obvious they're not making 10k this week, next week or even in a years time total.

So that got me wondering, do any of you actually use the product you're pushing? For me I'm worried about pushing a product that I don't actually use, just wasn't sure if I'm the only one.

How do you know that it's obvious that they're lying?

Yes there are a lot of shady characters out there just as they're in any industry like real estate.

We've seen them here posting how they're not making any money or they need $500 ASAP and their sig says they make 10K per month.

Don't worry so much about what every one else is doing or making or if it's real or not. If you get a bad vibe off of someone move on and learn from someone you can trust. There are many, many great and ethical folks in the Internet marketing space. Don't get hung up with trash. It eventually gets taken out.

      Amen Alan!

Especially the "don't worry about what every one else is doing" part.

I am a believer in karma...if a shady character is deceiving people, it'll come back to them.

Thanks Alan for your response. And you're right, there are A LOT of shady people in Real Estate and they usually get flushed out pretty quick as well.

I for one have built an actual reputation as a successful investor myself as show in the biggerpockets link in my sig. Come by and check me out sometime.

as far as how do I know they're lying, I can usually tell by the wifebeater shirt they're wearing with a cluttered bedroom in the background of their avatar pics. That seems to be an obvious sign.

Maybe it's rude or unprofessional of me to stereotype them by their avatar pic but a lot of the claims out there don't seem realistic whatsoever.

My biggest question I think would be is do most IM'rs purchase the product they're pushing? meaning are they a product of the product? Even some of the established guys/gals are they as well a product of the product?
